Warriors: cherryfrost's choice

Cherrykit was helping shadowkit, bloodkit, and snowkit clean out their nest.

Cherrykit was struggling with a huge ball of moss. after what Seemed like moons, ashpaw trotted up and mewed "here let me help."

Cherrykit was relived. the ball of moss had been heavy. "want to share a mouse later" ashpaw mewed.

"sure", agreed Cherrykit enthusiastically. "great" ashpaw purred and he raced away.

Cherrykit watched him go, admiration sparkling in her frost blue eyes. "so I see you've met ashpaw", brackenfrond came up to Cherrykit.

"sure did." Cherrykit replied. "you know he's a medicine cat apprentice. he can't have a mate." brackenfrond meowed.

"I don't want to be his mate! I'm a kit!" Cherrykit wailed. brackenfrond only purred and turned away.

"hey Cherrykit" fernface, the deputy, meowed as she walked by. Cherrykit raced to catch up with her.

fernface have Cherrykit a confused look and yowled. " ravenclaw, graymist, fuzzytail, pricklepaw, and blackpaw. hunting patrol" fernface called.

ravenclaw and graymist walked out of the warriors den, blinking sleep from their eyes.

pricklepaw and blackpaw came out of the apprentices den. "so that's how you pin a CloudClan cat." blackpaw was meowing to pricklepaw.

Cherrykit wished she could go with them. she wanted to be our hunting for her clan instead of cleaning out her own nest.

Cherrykit angled her ears toward the medicine cats den to hear what they were saying.

"burdock roots for rat bites and tansy for coughs." dirtpool was meowing her mouth off to ashpaw.

I'm going to visit the medicine cats den. Cherrykit decided.

as she padded off to the medicine cats den she watched the hunting patrol vanish through the fern tunnel.

Cherrykit walked through the cracked rock into the medicine cats den. ashpaw was mixing herbs.

"hey dirtpool. Hi ashpaw" Cherrykit mewed. "hello Cherrykit." dirtpool purred. "is something wrong?". "no dirtpool. everything's fine." Cherrykit said.

"do want to give this borage to appleleaf Cherrykit? ashpaw asked.

"sure. what does it do?. Cherrykit asked curiously. "it helps her not have any pains." ashpaw explained.

Cherrykit nodded and raced back to the nursery with the borage leaves. when she got there appleleaf was crying.

Cherrykit dropped the herbs she was carrying and asked. "what's wrong appleleaf".

"Will you get dirtpool and ashpaw please." appleleaf whispered.

Cherrykit nodded and raced back to the medicine cats den. "dirtpool, ashpaw come quick! appleleaf is having her kits!"
