Linny looks straight ahead for the rest of our drive to Natalie's house. I don't regret it; the sex we just had but I want more, so much more than his tight little body. Hear him gasp my name, whimper and beg for more of the pleasure I can give him.
I want him to look at me as he used to, as if his entire world revolves around me, as if I am his reason for breathing.
I want him to look at me and smile as if I'm the best thing he's ever seen. I miss those smiles. On evenings when he came home from work he'd look bone tired but then he'd see me and he'd smile, eyes dancing.
I miss that. Oh how I long for those lazy days where we'd build a fort in the living room and eat junk food till Linny would get hyped up on sugar and we'd have wild animal sex.
"Stop it. That couple died a long time ago," Linny says glancing at me before looking back out the window.
"So? I'm allowed my memories," I mutter back.
"Then take your trip down memory lane when I'm not around," Linny jabs back.
A few minutes later and I park in Natalie's yard. Linny jumps out the truck the moment it stops and is speed walking to the door. I just sigh and shake my head at his antics.
"What did you do to him?" Natalie hisses close to my ear a few minutes later, hell if she gets any closer she'd go inside it.
"Nothin'," I mumble and watch as Linny sits and rubs his legs with sunscreen.
"Oh don't you nothin' me! He asked to use the bathroom and when I checked on him he was showering," I look at the woman and she starts wiggling her brows at me. Good god this woman creeps me out sometimes .I stare at Natalie and she looks back at me with expectant eyes.
"Fine. We had wild car sex and then he just shut me down," I admit with a depressing sigh.
"O-Kay... Well I was going for a quick kiss on your end but wild car sex and he's still cold like ice?" Natalie is looking at me in disbelief.
"You mean to tell me Halls, that all that training in the art of seduction and you still can't let it stick even after sex? Weren't you any good?" Natalie cackles like an evil witch while I wonder if I should choke slam her onto these awfully blue tiles.
"Laugh it up Nat," I grumble and turn away to find the closest alcoholic beverage my hands and mouth can reach.
The party went on... and on. God, didn't these people have anything better to do on a Saturday? And where the hell did they come from? Natalie and Bebe doesn't have this many friends.
"Linny let's go," I call to him and he shoots me the most grateful stare ever then scrambles up all his things in record time.
"Thank God," Linny grins and leads me to my truck. We travel back to his place in complete silence and the term 'silence is killing me' is literally killing me.
Linny drops his pack at the door and goes straight for the fridge, door remaining wide open and I think it's an open invitation-if not I don't really care.
"Hungry?" he asks around a mouthful of something from a zip-lock bag.
"I have waffles, pancakes, rice, chicken, whatever," he shrugs and rams his mouth again.
"Sure," I too shrug and slink into a seat by the breakfast bar while he puts together a plate for me.
Folding my hands under my chin I watch while Linny hits play on his little boom box next to the microwave and starts shaking his little ass to some song called Closer, humming and all while still filling his cheeks with pie.
I'm not complaining I tell you, I get food and a free show and trust me, it is a blockbuster.
"Eat up," Linny pushes the plate under my nose and a glass of juice next to me.
"Gonna take a shower," Linny says behind him and disappears into the bathroom with an armful of clothes after rummaging through his wardrobe.
I just grunt-this food is too divine to speak around. I pause-why am I in Linny's place when he loathes me regardless of the mind-blowing sex we seem to have lately?
I shrug and continue on until the last rice grain was gone and glass empty. Linny comes back in smelling of Dove body wash and acting all fidgety and shit placing my used dinner wares in the sink.
"What are you doing tomorrow?" it leaves me before I think it through.
"um... n-nothing," he stutters while playing with his fingers and trying to scoff the wooden floor with his toes.
"W-Well... um how about a movie- or lunch? Maybe lunch and a movie...here?" God, this got awkward fast I think as Linny's eyes bugs out and widens like an owl's.
"Y-Yea sure... um okay," honestly, his reply sounds like a question.
"Okay," it's like a Mexican standoff, just the whirring of the fridge as background noise.
"Okay"
"Okay"
"Tomorrow"
"Yea... tomorrow," I slowly make my way to the door with Linny behind me.
"Oh shoot! What'll we do for lunch?" I ask coming to a full stop and eyeing Linny secretly hoping he'd volunteer to cook.
Linny opens the door and I shuffle to the threshold while he plays with the knob just like he would my co-Whoa there horsey.
"I'll make pasta," I hold myself back-barely- from throwing my hands up and screaming in triumph.
"I'll bring drinks," wine and beer to be exact, get him nice and tipsy-tipsy enough to... no, stop you bastard.
"See you tomorrow," Linny mumbles and I step close to him while he holds the door for security maybe-or support cause when I kiss him his knees practically knocks together before I leave.
I get a great night's sleep and spent four hours shopping for beer this morning. Who the hell takes so long to buy fucking beer?
