Linny

"Hey Linny," Angie says on the other side of my telephone, "want to go to lunch together?" she asks and I shake my head even though she can't see me.

"Nah, Teddy's taking me out," I smile into the receiver when she sighs exaggeratingly.

"I swear you two are like Bonny and Clyde. Hell you guys should have been attached at the hip!" she exclaims and I giggle a bit.

"Seriously, do you guys not get tired of each other?" she asks and I can hear how baffled she sounds.

"Nope 'cause my boyfriend is the best," I retort and I can literally hear the eyes roll.

"Whatever, He's on his way to pick you up now," she mutters and I smile again and lock my computer.

"Thanks Angie and maybe we can do lunch on Friday?" I ask and she eeks.

"Yasss! I'm holding you to that!" she says before hanging up.

I watch as Teddy gets off the elevator, hands in his pockets as he walks toward my desk with a soft smile tugging at his lips.

"Hey handsome," he calls sitting at the edge of my desk.

"Hey yourself," I blush self-consciously as his eyes roam my body. God, you'd think we haven't seen each other in years instead of this morning just before we split off to our respective departments.

Since we came out as a couple last month HR transferred me to support since they can't have us working in the same department and our bank is big enough that we won't distract each other, that and the fact that some head honcho from the CIA requested it. Teddy's retired now and daylights as a real accountant.

"What do you feel like today?" he asks and I shrug and bite my lower lip as my eyes rove over him. God, he still has a body to die for and the bulge behind his zipper seems to steal my attention. God he's hot.

We go out to a little café two blocks down and we have a nice lunch with Teddy complimenting me like we were still in high school and me blushing like a virgin. You're anything but! My inner gay boy scoffs and I want to hit him with his pink pom-poms.

"Have you thought of what kind of wedding you want?" Teddy asks and I smile my eyes going to my engagement ring. It is still that blue plastic ring he got me years ago.

"Yea, I'll tell you about it when I come over later," I grin and Teddy grins back at me.

Teddy moved into our house two weeks after he told me the truth about what happened between us five years ago and I have forgiven him for what he did. I didn't jump into a live in relationship with him because we needed to know each other once more. Dates and late night phone calls. He had to work to get me back in his life.

I know he really didn't have a choice in the matter when I think about it. He could have chosen me but then the Coles might have killed me and even if he had refused to marry Yolanda the CIA might've shipped him off to Russia or something.

I wouldn't have had it any other way either. I got to grow up and become the independent man I am today and Teddy got to reach his full potential which is all I ever wanted for him so my parents can kiss my ass because we both succeeded. We're so happy and most importantly we're together.

I smile at him when he sticks his tongue out at me and I can't help but feel all warm and gooey inside that this man is mine. My Teddy.
