Chapter 11

No POV

Over the next few weeks things had started to settle down. Ron and Hermione had started to leave Harry alone for the most part.

 Dumbledore was also staying out of Harry's way. Draco and Harry's relationship was going well and they had planned a date during the next Hogsmeade trip.

The only thing that was really bothering Harry was the lack of magic being done in DADA class. He had brought it up a few times with Draco and he had announced his own concerns about it.

 "I really think something should be done, but I don't want anymore detentions with that woman. "We'll figure out something" Draco had told Harry as the snuggled on the couch on evening.

"I just don't understand how the ministry is getting away with this" Harry exclaimed angrily "Someone has to teach the students how to protect themselves" Draco ran a hand through Harry's hair calming him.

"Then you do it" Draco offered. Harry turned his head to look at his mate. "Me?" he asked and Draco nodded. "You are one of the best people I know at DADA, you get some of the highest grades in that class. Get some students together and teach them how to defend themselves. You could ask Blaise and Pansy, you know they'll say yes."

Harry thought about it then nodded "Yes, that's a perfect idea. Thank you Draco!" Harry brought his head up and pecked Draco on the mouth. Draco whined missing the feeling of the kiss even if it was just a peck.

"I can get everyone together at the Shrieking shack when we go to Hogsmeade." Harry said smirking at Draco. "Hmm" was all Draco replied.

On the day of the Hogsmeade trip got a whole bunch of people together in the shrieking shack. There he explained how this defense club would run and what it would detail.

 When he finished he got anyone who wanted to join to sign up. Blaise, Pansy, Crabbe, Goyle, Neville, Luna, Lavender and several others signed up.

When inviting people to the meeting Harry had made sure to make sure Hermione, Ron and Ginny did not show up. Harry was so excited when he and Draco left the Shrieking shack. "You did so well" Draco complimented.

 Harry smiled widely "Thank you" Harry said wrapping his arm through Draco's as they walked towards Hogsmeade. "What would you like to do?" Draco asked. Harry thought for a few minute. "I'm a little hungry" Harry said his stomach growling.

 "Alright" Draco said as they made their way. "Yo Draco, Harry" They heard someone call behind them. They both turned and saw Blaise and Pansy running up behind them. "The meeting went great. Where are you guys going?" Pansy let out.

 "We're going to grab something to eat. Want to join? It can be a double date" Harry offered. Both Blaise and pansy blushed.

They hadn't told anyone about them liking each other, so the offer was shocking. "Y...yeah, that sounds great" Blaise murmured. Draco and Harry both smiled and let the others come up beside them.

 They made their way to the three Broomsticks and grabbed a table. Their waiter came over and they all ordered drinks.

They talked until drinks came, then ordered food. "So Blaise" Harry started "when are you going to ask out Pansy properly." Blaise who had been drinking his pumpkin juice suddenly spewed it out in front of him.

 "Ugh, gross Pansy complained rubbing her sleeve against her face to rid herself of juice. "Sorry" Blaise exclaimed "and why would you ask me such a question when I'm drinking?" Harry shrugged his shoulders.

 "And for your information, this is our date" Harry beamed while draco looked amused. When the food arrived they all dug in, no one bothering to say anything. "Hmm this food is so good" Harry moaned.

 Draco stiffened slightly. Blaise must have noticed because he smirked "everything alright Draco?" Blaise asked innocently.

There was a sudden thud under the table and Blaise doubled over wincing. "Everything alright Blaise" Draco asked in mocking tone.

 Blaise glared at Draco and was about to say something when Pansy interrupted. "Boys enough" She said as she continued on eating without looking at them.

 Blaise pouted, but did as he was told. Harry just watched on with interest, staying quiet. When everyone was done Harry reached over for the check.

Draco grabbed his hand quickly and took the check. "Draco, what are you doing?" Draco just shook his head.

"I'm paying Harry and I don't want to hear any arguments" Harry huffed but didn't argue. The four of them got up out of their chairs and made their way towards the door.

 Draco placed his arm around Harry's shoulders whispering to him "I do it to satisfy my Veela. It has to do with instinct and providing for my mate" Harry nodded.

 "I understand, but let me pay at least once in awhile." Draco thought for a few seconds "I'll think about it".

They were about to exit the building when someone opened the door. Harry froze on spot when he saw Ron, Ginny, Dean and Finnigan at the door.

 Ron looked Harry's way and sneered "Look who it is" Ron exclaimed loudly getting everyone's attention. "What do you want?" Draco sneered stepping slightly in front of Harry.

 Ron gave an evil laugh, but ignored Draco. "What are you doing with a bunch of Slytherins Potter, going dark?"

 "It's not him who is dark but you, you git" Pansy said coming to stand beside Harry. "I can be friends with whoever I want Ron, I chose to be yours, but now I realized I made a mistake so leave me alone and don't speak to me again." Harry said as he made his way past the Gryffindor's.

 "Your pathetic Ron" Suddenly Ron pulled out his wand and fired at Harry, but Harry was quick and quickly put up a shield. The other Slytherins pulled out their own wands and pointed them at the others.

 You could hear yelling and screaming in the background, but the two groups payed no mind. Ron yelled out a cutting curse, but it was blocked.

 Ron scowled, but kept attempting to land a spell. The slytherins didn't throw any curses only blocking spells. Dean cast a spell and it rebounded hitting Ginny in the chest.

 Ron and Dean went towards her while Finnegan stood over them. "Look what you have done" Ron yelled. Pansy gave a disbelieving look.

"Us, you're the one who cast the spell" she yelled. Draco grabbed Harry and made his way hastily to the door Blaise and Pansy behind him.

 Ron tried to fire another spell, but Pansy deflected it. The four quickly ran from the Three broomsticks not looking back.
