Chapter 13

After Caleb and Mia awkwardly introduced themselves, it stopped raining and we went outside.

When I stepped outside I looked to the sky and gosh, I've never seen anything so beautiful.

Millions of stars were shining and the moon was completely perfect and bright.

Our parents had the great idea of making a fire to roast marshmallows. We all sat around the fire, roasting marshmallows.

Mia had the idea of telling scary stories, but Annie and Hayley were too scared and they didn't want to hear it. So instead, everyone told a funny story.

When it was Caleb's turn, he told us a story about him being attacked by a 2 inch frog.
When he finished, I just couldn't stop laughing. I was laughing so hard that my tummy hurts.

"Ally, Your laugh is so cute" Caleb said then gasped, covering his mouth.

I chuckled at his reaction. I guess he didn't want to say that, but sometimes your thoughts and feelings just come out of your mouth.

I blushed and gave him a smile.

We were all happy and smiling, until the the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it" I said.

Mom nodded and I went to the front door in the living room.

I opened it, revealing Sydney.

I instantly rolled my eyes and Sydney did the same. As always, she was wearing short shorts and a cropped top that showed way too much skin.

"Come in" I said with a fake smile.

She got in and headed outside where everyone was, still roasting marshmallows.

Sydney stole my spot, which was next to Caleb, so I just sat across from him.

Mrs.Katie (Caleb's mom) started to tell us some of her high school stories, which were pretty funny.

It told my funny story and everyone but Sydney laughed. She whispered something in Caleb's ear while laughing at me, making him give her a dirty look, and she rolled her eyes.

She kept whispering and I could see how uncomfortable Caleb was.
Then she whispered something loud enough for me to hear. "She's just a lonely bitch" was what I heard.

I tried my best to ignore her. Caleb gave Sydney the dirtiest look and got up, and sat by my side.

I was smiling on the outside, but in the inside I was like: WOOOO HE SAT NEXT TO ME INSTEAD OF SITTING NEXT TO HER WOOOO WE'RE BASICALLY MARRIED

Sydney made an angry face and stared at me the whole time. I was feeling very uncomfortable because she wouldn't stop staring at me with her ugly angry face.

"Sydney, would you stop staring at me? I know I'm pretty but stop, it's making me uncomfortable" I said.

Caleb chuckled, and she rolled her eyes, got up, and left.
I could see Annie's, Caleb's and Hayley's face of relief when she left.

I started to get bored so I got up and walked to a tree that was a little far from the fire, but not too far. I sat next to it, laying the back of my head on it.

Again, I looked at the sky and felt this weird feeling in my heart that makes me calm.
I heard footsteps but ignored it.
Someone sat next to me, I turned my head to see Caleb, staring at the stars just like I was some seconds ago.

We kept staring at the stars not saying a word, I could hear his heartbeat.
He slowly moved his hand and rested it on top of my hand.
I laid my head on his shoulder.

"Ally, I love you so much." He said with his adorable voice.

"I love you too Cae Cae" I said and squeezed his hand.

"No Ally. Not like that. Not like best friends. I love you more than that. It's more than best friends" He said squeezing my hand back.

Did he just confess his love for me?

I looked at him straight in the eye. I looked at his lips and he looked at mine. We slowly got closer to each other, our faces inches apart.

Our lips touched.

I've never felt nothing like this before. My heart, it feels like it's exploding.

When we pulled away we still looked at each other straight in the eye.
I smiled at him and he smiled at me with his adorable smile.
He wrapped his arm around me, pulling me closer to him. I laid my head on his chest, hearing his heartbeat.

"Ally?" He asked.
"Hm?" I said.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked.
