I looked around to ensure nothing was gonna kill me. I was raised to stay on guard, especially when it comes to family affairs. Saying it's the first time I'm involved in one, I gotta make sure I present myself formally as possible.Pausing in the middle of the drive way, I did my best to straightened out my jacket, dust myself off, and wipe whatever food my linger around my mouth. While doing so I snuck a peek at my watch. It's already 10:25am. I looked around and thought otherwise. With the Sun completely bolted out and masked behind the thick clouds overhead, all around looked like evening shifting into night. When night fell...it was equivalent to the black abyss of a corpse's mind. I'd say I hate it, but honestly I love it. I instinctively huddled myself due to the cold air.
While walking up to the grand array of stairs before me I looked to my left and right. I couldn't make out blackened trees, but instead I saw walls and dark windows. The whole building shaped in a sort of curve which ran along the curve of the driveway. Indeed this building is grand. I spun and saw I had parked right in front of a marble water fountain as large as pond. I was on some sort of an estate! I squinted to see snow covered stone and wrought iron fences lining the plants; keeping them orderly placed.
Apart from the dim lights surrounding most of the drive way, the estate seemed empty. The only source of someone being there was light coming from the grand front door. It seemed to be growing brighter, because for some reason it stood over me like a spot light.
Had I been assigned a magical quest?!
I shook off the absurd thought and made my way up to the door.

"Did you set the GPS coordinates I instructed you to?"
"Yes. I still don't think it was a good idea to send your brother there."
"Is this because of the whole cat thing?"
"I...well...no! It's just he's not ready for any of this. Plus, what if the other side finds out about him?"
"Enough questions. Save them for when we reach the conference room."
"You want to get him involved, yet you send him on a goosechase?"
"It's not a goosechase. Those envelopes are of the utmost importance. How else will we get all of us together under one roof?"
"Still think it's a bad idea."
"This family wasn't put in my hands only to follow opinions. If times such as now hadn't befallen our kin, then I'd happily leave him here in this prison. Alas, we need everyone. There can only be two roads to guide this family down."
"And one of them is making us whole again?"
"No, that's our third gamble. We haven't stooped to their life as yet."
"So you really Sat on the crappier and thought this Shit through huh?"
"I merely have ideas I'd wish to toss around the room with the figurative neck of the family. Without the neck's approval of the head, then how will we know which direction to loom forward to?"
"... And all this involved that Shit to take my car?"
"Why would I let him use mine? I had you tune her up, so she sounds new for the following occasions to come."
