Asgard stood in its magnificence atop a bed of golden clouds with a scenic horizon as it always had. Valkyrie, doves, and majestic winged serpents graced its skies, it was a sight that could only be described as blissful. In an instant, the peace was broken by a sound similar to a raging thunder and an explosion underneath the clouds of Asgard. A beaten and battered Valkyrie plummeted from the explosion as the hole she came from sealed itself.
Her hair was a beautiful golden blonde and eyes a shade of blue as if she had sealed the ocean itself inside of them. She was clad in a blue armor and leggings with a golden trim that had a slanted slash down the middle of it seeping out blood. Her feathered helmet on her head was ripped at the edge of each feather. But most noticeably her signature wings that Valkyrie are known for were burnt to a crisp, all that remained was a black skeletal foundation that shaped the wings she once had.
As she fell from the heavens the Valkyrie saw a soothing yellow light that she was approaching. It was the end of the realm of Asgard and the nexus to the great tree, Yggdrasil. She burrowed through the light and was shot out next to the body for the great tree.
At the top of the tree was a giant eagle with the hawk, Vedrfolnir, perched between the eagle's eyes. They gazed down at the Valkyrie as she gracefully fell. Directly below her, she was greeted by the sight of the giant black serpent, Nidhogg, wrapped around the roots of Yggdrasil, with the realm she was heading towards resting in its belly. A rustling noise came from the branches of the tree and a squirrel with blinding speed ran beside her, scaling the tree as she fell.
Ratatoskr: "The eagle and the hawk have judged you young Valkyrie. They will not fly down and save you from your faith, they will not mend your wounds and heal your broken feathers. You will be devoured by the serpent and endure eternal damnation for the sins you have committed. That is my message to you from Vedrfolnir, farewell..."
The squirrel scurried down the tree and pounced on the head of the serpent. He whispered his message to the foul snake and ran up the tree in fear, not once glancing back at the Valkyrie. Nidhogg turned his attention towards the Valkyrie and coiled its head back preparing to lunge at her as she closed her eyes and spoke aloud.
Valkyrie: "I never would've thought things would turn out this way back when this all began."
In an instant, the serpent lunged its head into the air and swallowed the Valkyrie whole....
[Aurthor's Notes: Thank you for reading the Prologue of my story and I hope you enjoy the rest. If you haven't noticed already I write in script format, it's a unique style that I like to type in and I've almost perfected it. I feel like writing this way draws the reader in more and feels more like you're watching more than reading. Also, I plan to hopefully have this animated so I need it in script format for that reason as well.]
