Dylan was wide awake, laying in her bed. Jonathan had sat with her for about an hour, and her mom had finally came in to see what was going on. Her mom had basically given her the same thing she always did.
"Oh Dylan, You're so dramatic. You always try to make people feel sorry for you. Common. It's time for dinner."
Dylan had no idea what had made her mom turn so cold against her, but it was getting old. Dylan had learned to do what her mom said the first time, and to sulk after she had done her job.
Her dad was a little better. He would ask her how she felt. He would listen when she talked, but he wouldn't make a big deal when she was upset. Both her parents had given up trying to help.
It was now 4:30 am, and Dylan had to be up in fourty-five minutes. She got up early and took a shower. She went downstairs and ate her breakfast, and did her normal routine.
At 6:55, she left for school. SHe walked the quarter mile, and went to her locker. She was getting her science book, when the loud speaker came on.
"Dylan, please come to the office." The voice was calm, but had an annoyed tone to it.
Dylan put her stuff in her locker, and walked to the office.
"Dylan, this is Grant. He's new here, and he has the same scedule you do. I would like you to show him where everythng is and help him if he needs you to."
Dylan nodded, and looked at the guy standing next to the vice princeable. He was good looking. Brown hair, blue eyes, strong jaw-line, dimples, and pretty good muscles, but Dylan wasn't impressed.
"Hi. I'm Dylan." She gave him a small smile.
"Hey. I'm Grant." He held out his hand.
Dylan hesitated but shook it, "Cool. So uh, I guess I'll show you around?"
He followed her to his locker, "SO here's your locker." She looked at him and smiled.
He looked at her and smiled back.
