"It's time to jump," Teddy says as I stand up to go over to her and the others. I don't look at Four, or Caleb, but I look at Tris, and she looks at me.
I mouth "I'm sorry" to her, and she sees that I was crying. She looks at me and mouths "It's okay, I know you didn't mean it. What happened?"
I tell her "I'll talk to you later about it" and she nods back. At least someone except Teddy, Peter, and Uriah still likes me.
We all jump off the train and start walking in one direction. I don't know where we are going, but I need to know.
I look beside me and see Marcus, who I totally forgot was on the train, and he didn't even do anything with the whole scene, especially when Four punched me.
I want to speak up but I don't get the courage too, and it's weird. Ever since this whole thing happened, I'm afraid to do speak, and move.
"So we are going to Amity," Teddy says to all of us.
My heart stops. I finally get to see my sister again, at least not in my fear landscape.
"Anyone have any other ideas," Peter says, and I can tell he was referring to me.
I just keep walking because I don't want to do anything else.
Everyone looks at each other in curiosity, but I'm used to it by now. I go ahead of everyone.
"Cat, wait up!" I hear. I stop and look behind me to see Peter. He catches up and we start walking together. "Are you okay?"
"I mean, I guess? I don't really know how to answer that," I say with a sigh. He looks at the other side of my face that was hurt, that wasn't facing him.
"Can I see it?" He asks softly. His voice is so calming for some reason. I don't know why it has this effect on me, but I feel as if I should let him.
"Sure," I say quietly and I stop. He stops too, making the other go ahead of us. Uriah gives be a kinda weird look and then looks back in front of him. Teddy smiles at me.
He puts his hand on my face and slowly rubs his thumb against the bruise. I look into his eyes with curiosity. He's so focused, and concerned. I've never seen this part of Peter, it's almost attractive. Okay maybe it is.
He then looks into my eyes deeply, and then let's go of the stare. "We should probably catch up to the others."
"Yeah," I say as we start running up to them. We soon catch up.
When we finally see the headquarters, my heart skips a beat. I can't believe I will get to see her. I hope she is doing okay, and I hope going into Amity is safe.
Teddy tries to put her arm around me, but when I see her reach out, I flinch and look at her, but then she puts her arm around me, so I don't feel scared.
It's like when someone reaches their arm by me, I think they are gonna punch me, so I flinch in fear.
Teddy seems concerned, but I don't look at her any longer. She takes her arm off me since we are approaching the front of the dome by the huge tree.
We walk in and see a bunch of red and yellow zooming past us, most of them stop and look, but others just walk by us.
"Hello?" someone says behind us.
We look behind us and see the leader of Amity, Johanna Reyes.
"Are you guys coming from the attack?" She asks in confusion.
"Yeah, we are and it would be amazing if you would kindly let us stay here for the time being," Four says.
"Well, as Amity, we make decisions as a group, so we will have a meeting shortly, for now, you can view the place, and see if you like it."
"Thank you," Four says.
Johanna walks away so we divide into groups.
I go with Teddy while Four and Tris go together, of course. Marcus goes with Peter and Uriah gets stuck with Caleb, and I feel bad.
Teddy and I start walking around the farm, away from everyone else.
"Hey Cat," she says to me. I look up at her. "Are you okay?"
"Not........... entirely."
"Well I get it with the war and everything, plus the thing with Four, but something else is on your mind."
"Caleb."
"What about him?"
"We had a fight on the train, a big one. Not physically, but he just kept saying that I changed and stuff like that."
"I'm sorry Cat," Teddy says. "I'm glad you aren't with him anymore, he always seemed iffy to me, even at the start."
"Really?"
"Yeah, sorry to bring up the subject up."
"It's fine."
The farm is huge, and lots of people are around it, farming away. I then hear a faint voice in the distance.......
"Cathleen? Is that you?"
I look to my side, and I see my sister, standing there with a basket of crops. She drops everything, runs over to me, and I get one of the biggest hugs in my life.
I hug her back, and I feel myself start to cry. She starts crying too, since I haven't seen her in months. We break apart, and she looks at me.
"I thought you went to Erudite?"
"I did, but I realized they were evil, so I kinda sneaked my way into Dauntless."
"Sounds dramatic, but I'm glad you are okay, and you didn't plan what happened to Abnegation."
"Anyways, how is Amity? Do you like it?"
"I love it! It is so much fun and I guess I found a love for farming!"
"I'm glad you like your new faction, I wonder how mom and dad is."
Rebecca looks down "I miss them a lot."
"Me too Rebecca, me too," I say sadly. "Oh," I add. "I forgot to introduce to you my best friend, Teddy."
Teddy shakes her hand. "Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too. Cat, what happened to Jessica? Did she come with you Dauntless?"
I stare at her for a second, and I look down. "Jess......... did go to Dauntless, but she........... got shot."
"I'm sorry Cathleen, sounds hard to deal with."
"You can call me Cat now," I say. "It's basically my name now."
"Well okay then, Cat it is."
"What are you doing?"
"What does it look like I'm doing, farming of course."
"And you like it?"
"Yeah, I guess, but I do miss home."
"I do too, mom and dad probably think I'm evil though," I say, looking down.
"No they don't Cat, they love you no matter what."
I smile and she smiles too.
"You better get back to work, plus you guys are gonna have a meeting soon to see if we can stay."
"Okay, I'll see you soon."
I walk away with Teddy as I wave to her.
"Wow, you two look nothing alike," Teddy says. "But she seems nice, and bubbly, just like a typical Amity."
"Well, she looks like my mom while I look like my dad, but I am short like my mom, while she is tall."
"I can barely tell you are sisters!"
"Yeah, but if you met my parents, you would see different."
"I believe you on that one."
"What should we do?"
"I don't know anything about this place, so let's just walk around a little."
"Sounds good."
