Brennan's POV
As we are waiting down stairs my mom get a phone call explaining she has to leave to go with dad, our family live quit a distance away from Mary land and our grandma is in hospital with dementia so they have to go on weekends away to see her, after she leaves I hear footsteps and then hayley and annie speaking, suddenly Jayden comes piling against the door, katie and all of annies new friends have become pretty close recently(Jayden b from LA lives in a Maryland now)
Katies POV
As more people started showing up like Jayden Mia and a few of mine and annies new friends from private school, Hayley sent me a message
H- everything ready?
K- yep!!
H- okay on our way down,, hide!!
K- okay!
I told everyone to be quiet and hide, I turned off the lights and shut the basement door, we heard the footsteps coming dow the stairs and Hayley and annie talking and then the door opened, SUPPRISE!!!
Everyone screams and annies looks around confused and then started so smile and laugh!
Brennan's POV
As annie opened the basement door we all jumped up and screamed
"SUPRISE!" She jumped back and looked confused then she did that smile..
Annies POV
As I opened the basement door everyone jumped out. Hayley threw me a suprise party!!
I was so happy to see all my friends here and the basement looked amazing....
I looked around for Hayden but no sign.. then I saw Brennan was here. He was staring right at me.. I smiled and gave him a wave then walked over to greet him..
A- hey Brennan, thanks for coming!
B- Katie sorta made me come aha
A- oh
B- but I wanted to come, but when I heard Hayden was gonna be here I backed out.
A- yeh he's too busy in LA... what a boyfriend.
B- yeh ikr
Brennan's POV
I Felt so bad on annie, she doesn't Seaver to be treated like that, and why would Hayden miss her birthday? I walked over to Katie and asked her what was up
B- hey Katie can we talk
K- yeh Brennan's what's up
B- do you know what was so important that Hayden had to miss annies birthday to go to LA
K- eeerrrrr
B- spill
K- *hands Brennan her phone open to Hayden's instagram picture with kenzie captioned "with this gem❤️"
B- what?!! Who's that?! Whys he with another girl in LA?!?? Is he mad!!?
I couldn't help but hold back my anger I broke down and started going mad, she doesn't deserve this, after everything she's been through, Katie convinced me to go outside to calm down, I end up punching the wall so hard my knuckles start to bleed.
Hayden's POV
As soon as I found out Brennan was going to be at Annie's party, I cancelled filming for kenzies music video and got on the next flight back home, I'd get there half way throught the party but that was good enough.
Annie POV
As I walked around the party I noticed Brennan was no where to be seen, I checked every room but no, I assumed he'd gone home because why would he want to be here anyway, after all it's me.
I walked out onto my balcony and sat in the very wet chair. I started crying, thinking about how stupid I was to let my feelings for Brennan go and fall for Hayden, the boy who's just missed my birthday. I hear a loudish this against the walls and ignore it to be the dogs, then I start crying even louder and soon enough I'm on the floor, with my head in my hands..
I hear a familiar voice call out, I look over the railing and see Brennan standing there, soaking wet, bloody hands and tears drilling down his face. He sees me crying and runs inside.
Brennans POV
"Ahh" I exclaimed as my hand hit the wall,
Out of no where I hear crys, I look around and pin the sound from annies balcony, I call out her name and her head peaks out, her makeup all down her face and tears streaming from her eyes. I run in the house as fast as possible, grabbing a box of tissues on the way, I burst annies door open and go to the balcony.
B- anns, wh.. whats up" I say out of breath
A- nothing, jus..just go away😭
B- I pull a tissue out of the box and lift her head up, I wipe away the tears gently and she spots my hand,.
A- "Brennan!" She exclaimed
B- what?
A- what happened to your hand??
She placed her hand on mine and butterflies ran from my heart to my chest(ran or flew?? Hmmmm😂)
She grabbed a tissue from the box and let it her wet from the rain, she carefully wiped the blood away which revealed cut and bruised knuckles, she looked up at me, with her soft brown eyes.. and looked dissapointed
A- why did you do that Brennan?
B- I got mad
A- at what?
I didn't reply
A- what could've made you so mad to hurt yourself?
B- you, annie.
A- me? What have I done? You have barley spo-
Before she could finish I cut her of by putting my finger on her lip( no kissing yet😢😂)
B-you know, we hurt ourselves for the people we love, like you and Caleb...
she went silent.
B- and when I found out that Hayden didn't come, it made me mad because he's meant to be there for you..
A- yo.. yo.. you love me.
B- Ye-
Before I could finish someone burst through the door.. someone I didn't expect to see at all..
