Chapter 8

Jon's POV-
I woke up to people talking. I saw that I was in a cell and that Nick was in the room beside me. He was reading a book about bats. "Nick? Where are we?" I asked, rubbing my head. He looked up from my book and looked at my like he didn't know I was here before. "Jon?!?! What?! Why?! EMMA!!!!" he yelled in panic. Why would he be yelling for the person who kidnaped him? Emma walked in and smiled warmly. "What's wrong, Nick?" she asked kindly. "Why is Jon here?" he asked after he calmed down. "He asked to many questions." she said, shrugging. He face palmed. "Can someone explain what's going on...?" I asked. "When you started to yell at me and question me I finally snapped and ran to find Emma. She offered to let me work with her. And I was to stressed and upset to say no. So we needed to set up something so I can get away from the Agency without them wanting to kill me." Nick stated. I sat there in awe. "Did you just mention our job in front of her....." I asked worried. "We'll explain if you join us. I honestly thought it would be awesome if you guys worked with us." Emma said. "I was gonna join you anyways, so yeah!" I responded. "I know that you are Jester and that he is Zres. So it's time that I told you that I am Cat." she said. I sat there in more awe. They opened the cell and led me to a bedroom. We sat down and continued the conversation when I noticed that Nick had a bat pendent hanging around his neck. "What's with the pendent, Nick?" I asked him. He looked at Emma slightly panicked but she just smiled. He took a deep breath then took of his jacket. When he put his jacket up I saw two holes in the back of his shirt. And now I was more confused. He closed his eyes and there was a faint glow coming from his back. He opened his eyes and they were blood red, he had fangs and huge bat wings. "What the?!?! When did this happen?!?!" I asked, slightly panicked. "For over a month Emma and I have been going on dates....... and about a week ago I sacrificed part of my humanity to be with her. I love her, Jon. I just don't feel like a can live without her...." he said to me. That's when it clicked. He acted strange because he was getting used to the new power he had. "At least you had enough confidence to talk to her.... The girl I have a crush on makes me feel weak just by looking at her." I said. "Really? Who? We could set up a double date!" Emma said excitedly. "Ashlie......" I said shyly. "How does Saturday night sound?" she asked. I smiled and nodded. And she screamed out of excitement. We heard someone walking down the stairs. "Emma? What's wrong? I heard you-...." said a voice which cut itself off. I looked at the door. In the door stood Riku. Wait.... if Emma is Cat.... that means Dawn must be Riku and Mat is Strings! She looked at us scared, but Nick stepped in front of her defensively. Riku took of his mask and smiled. "Looks like you made some friends." he said. "Dawn! Ok, I need you to do something for me!" Emma exclaimed. "What's up?" he asked. "I need you to send the code that means that both spies are either MIA or KIA to Agency A-7!" she said happily. Dawn quickly took out his phone and typed a few things. Once he was done he shock our hands, "Welcome to the team!" he then left. Emma showed me to my room and I went to bed.
