I have returned with another chapter, please enjoy! (Unless you don't and that's perfectly fun too).

I was pumped. With adrenaline coursing through me and a thirst for adventure the forest I had walked through to get to the camp no longer looked so scary. The birds calls no longer echoed in my head as a silent taught. I didn't feel as though the branches were reaching out to grab me and, if they did get hold of me would never let go.
Sam gleefully skipped beside me kicking the stones in her way. My eyes drifted to her side wear a gun was sitting in a holster.
I pointed at it and asked, "Do you know how to use a gun, I mean no offence, but do you?"
She gave a wicked smile which I was beginning to think she used quite a lot. "Darn right I do, my dad sold weapons to the government. It was a really fancy job and he had a license and everything. He also believed that I should know how to fire a gun so I learned. Not to brag but I'm pretty good."
I felt bad for being nosey but I asked anyways, "Is your dad... you know?"
"Dead?"
I bobbed my head in a silent yes.
"No, we found the camp together and brought a lot of weapons with us. In fact the gun that Kit is carrying was one my dad brought with us."
I gazed ahead and saw Kit holding a gun and talking with another boy.
We stopped talking and I again looked around my surrounding. Our group had ten people who each had a gun in hand and multiple blades strapped to their sides. Serious looks plastered on all their faces. The part that freaked me out though was that they all were about my age or younger. The thought saddened me a bit.
My somber thoughts were quickly interrupted by Kit putting his hand up in the air to signal everyone to stop. Me not noticing this walked right through someone, they might not have noticed it but it still creeped the heck out of me.
Kit did yet another hand signal and our band of serious looking teenagers was on the way again.

After what felt like hours of walking in the woods we finally started to see signs of civilization again. A path that was well walked came into view and we started following that.
Not long after did we come to a small town that was the epitome of cliché small towns. The whole group when silent and held up their weapons ready for a fight if necessary.
I heard Sam whisper behind me, "Come out, come out wherever you are you little jerks." Her voice sounding bloodthirsty and threatening not at all like the Sam I had come to know.
Everyone was so silent that you could hear a pin drop. I could've screamed at the top of my lungs and no one but Sam and Kit would have noticed. My natural instincts however had other plans and my mouth remained sealed closed.
Our group walked through the town with such stealth as secret agents would have been proud.
As we turned a corner a grocery store came into view. It looked like it had quite the place before the whole apocalypse started. The large letters that had spelled out the name of the store we ruined, one even on the ground were it had fallen. The windows of the store had been all smashed in and there was blood in certain places. I was really not liking this place.
Kit stepped over the broken glass windows and everyone else followed suite careful not to cut themselves on the edges of the windows were broken shards still sat.
