2:49AM, Sunday

I opened my eyes and met a white and bright light shining above me.
Was it all just a nightmare?
I looked around and tears was starting to fall beyond my control.
I didn't wake up beside Sasuke.
I didn't wake up in a familiar place.

I woke up in the hospital.
And everything that has happened, was real.

I was so terrified.. I didn't know what happened to Sasuke.
Neither do I know where is he..

How did I end up here?

I called in for the nurse, within a few seconds, she and a doctor entered my room with a smile.

"We're glad you're awake." The doctor greeted.

"May I know.. What happened? And who brought me here?"

Was it Sakura?
Or Sasuke himself.
I had so many questions yet no answers.

"I'm not too sure, but not to worry the police are investigating the case." He replied.

"The police.. Why?"

"Um, you were found in a car accident, together with another man who was the driver." The nurse explained.

"Man?" Sasuke..
"How-how is he?" My voice trembled when I ask. Tears about to overflow.

Why am I so unstable?

My heart was numbed with fear.

Her expression turned sad and it got me more worried. While the doctor stood there, composed.

"He was shot."

My mind blanked out.

I had no words.

"Is.. he... d-dead?"

She shook her head as she tried to comfort me. I couldn't visit him. They said he was in a critical condition but his life was out of danger. The police came to question me about the car accident shortly after.

So far from the information they gathered they knew after he was shot in the waist, he carried me back to his car and drove to the nearest hospital.
But because he lost so much blood, he fell unconscious while driving leading to the crash.

His head was injured in the crash.

And he is now still unconscious.

...

All I could remember doing was crying the entire night away.

10:02AM, TUESDAY

After I was discharged, all I could think of was Sasuke..
That silly fellow. All he wanted to do was to save me and I wasn't even seriously injured compared to him.
Look what happened, Sasuke.

I began sobbing as I entered the cab.

I don't know whether to be mad at Sasuke for being so rash..
But I knew he was risking himself for me.. But..
I'm so sad..
All of my emotions are overwhelming me all at once.
I don't know how to escape it.

Wake up soon, Sasuke.
I really need you badly.

I often came to his ward and visit him while he was unconscious.
I missed him every day.

But being by his side while he was unconscious, only helped me so much..
I still miss him moving.. And talking to me.
I still missed him every day I visited him.

7:44PM, MONDAY

It was weeks before the hospital called to notify me that Sasuke has finally awaken. I dropped whatever I was doing and rushed over.

I was extremely overjoyed.
For once, I was crying tears of joy instead of sadness.
I just wanted to run into his arms.

But my happiness didn't last long.
Before I could enter his ward, the doctor tapped my shoulder.

"I'm very sorry to inform you that the patient has lost his recent memories. So do not be alarmed if he does not recognize you."

Oh how my world shattered and fell apart.
Indeed, I was glad Sasuke was awake.

But what if he doesn't remember me?
What if he never loves me again?

My worries were never ending.

I took a deep breath and told myself. "I won't know if I don't try." And gained all my courage to open that door.

It felt like it was the first time looking at Sasuke with the way he laid eyes on me. I immediately knew it.

He doesn't recognize me.
His gaze doesn't that passion and love towards me.

I wanted to run into his arms so bad I had to control myself because I knew I couldn't.

Because he lost his memory, we have to start all over again.
I don't mind.
I'm just afraid he doesn't want to.

Somebody sitting beside Sasuke turned around. "Hmm, Sasuke? Is this your friend?"

His eyes never left mine, "I'm not sure."

I wasn't prepared for this amount of hurt.
It killed me when he said that.

She stood up and faced me as she offered to shake my hand as if meeting me for the first time.

"Hi, my name is Sakura Haruno. Sasuke's wife. May I know who are you?"
