Running

Trying to catch my breathe

There is an explosion, trying to find where. Run.

Awaken by the alarm, its 3:00 in a morning.

I sat up beneath my bed wondering how strange my dream was. It's been a month since I haven't dream. I am Mark Apollo, 31 years old and stable in life. I've been living on my own since the first tragedy of my life happened, my parents died in car accident when I was 17 years old. The second one happened 5 years ago, the first love of my life runaway from me on the day of our wedding.

Moving on is the hardest part to do but I thank God because He helped me to find the lady that will ease the pain in my heart. She also helped me with everything and then later on we fell in love with each other.

The first 2 years of our relationship is kind of survival for us but as the time passed by we grew to learn more of each other and learn to accept each other's weaknesses. Rosette Lyn is my girl and I will marry her when the right time comes and wait 'till my heart is fully healed.

I was driving when my phone rang. I picked it up. It's my Rosette.

"Honey where are you?"

It is good to hear from her. Every morning we are going to church to pray before going to our work. I always fetch her from her house and have breakfast with her family. I am used to love and enjoy moments with her parents because I can see my parents in them.

"On my way to your heart babe, wait for me okay? Don't get too impatient, I love you." I reply. Those are the words that can make her happy and I'm glad that I can do it, effortless.

A while ago I arrived in front of their house. I hide the fresh bouquet of tulips that I bought for her from our favourite flower shop. She loves tulips so much that every time I gave her a bouquet of roses she walks out. She makes me laugh, she knows how to make me feel love and she could make my heart skip a beat. I can feel the love she devoted for me.

I knocked on the door then seconds after, the door flew open. And then came out a gorgeous woman in a red dress that perfectly fits her body. She has sparkling, green, almond-shaped eyes, kissable lips and natural rosy cheeks. She's everything I am dreaming of every night before I go to bed and after I wake up. She is the girl I dream to marry someday. I stared at her, mesmerized by her natural beauty.

"Honey, are you okay? It seems like you seen a ghost." She broke off the silence when she hugged me and gave me a tender kiss. It caused the awakening of every part of me.

"I prepared salad for breakfast because I know you are hungry right now." She held my other hand and led me to the dining area where her father and mother are waiting.

"Ah, babe I have something for you." I brought out the flowers I was holding behind me then gave Rosette a good morning kiss that we usually do every time we meet. "Good morning, babe."

She held the bouquet perfectly like a bride who is ready to walk on the aisle.

"I love it honey." She turned around then put the bouquet to the vase.

Old memories are coming back.

A bride, ready to walk on the aisle whispered something on her father's ear.

She threw the flowers then she runaway from him without giving him any reason.

Numbed, he could not talk or take a step. No voice that wants to come out.
