With the question from yesterday still in my head, I walk over to my house. I walk past my three pitbulls to my room. I call Sean's homephone.

"Hello" His mom answered after 3 rings.

"Hey, is Sean home yet?" I asked.

"No, he's at Destiny's house. But we're having a family dinner tonight, and you're welcome to come." She sounded sure I wasnt going to come.

"Great! I'll see you at...?"

"Seven o'clock." She said.

I hung up. Great. I decided my mom wouldn't care, she'd be out with Tommy, her ex.

I sigh and walk to the park. I stare at the trees, so free. I've always wondered why they call us a free country. There are still laws, jail, and some aren't even free. At least half of America has been in jail at least once. How is that free?

Flashes of my dream come into mind. I call Dr.D.

"Hello, this is Dr. Daniel's office, a shrink's office, how may I help you?" There was Carrie, his assisstant.

"Hey Carrie, it's Sydney, is he in?"

"Yes ma'am." She hung up and I heard Dr.D.

"Hey Sydney, what makes you call?" He sounded just like Dr.Phill.

"I've been having... dreams.Anything to stop them?"

"Well nothing. Except not sleeping." He joked.

I hung up. So much for a shrink.

It was seven thirty when I got at Sean's house. He was walking down the stairs when I came in, staring at me.  I was wearing a black short skirt and a pink flower shirt, covered by a white knitted sweater.

He had on a tight black shirt and a bright red tie. His jeans were dark and his white tennisshoes stood out like a light in the darkness. His glasses were different today. They were black rimmed.

"Hey, uh, Is this too much?" I asked nervously.

"No, it's actually a little too little" He joked.

"Your mom invited me." I blushed and hid behind my curly brown hair.

"Oh, did she tell it was at 7:00, or were you in the park too long and didn't care?" He laughed, stepping toward me.

"Shut up" I joked.

"Make me." He sneered.

"Scince when did I have a five year old as a son?" His mom walked in. "Hi, do you realize what time it is?" She scolded me.

"Sorry, my mom got lost." I lied.

"Oh okay" Doubt was sprinkled all over her words.

Sean butt in,"Have we started eating yet?" I sent him a silent thanks.

"Well of course. We arent going to wait on someone who isnt family." She said rudely.

We walked into the large dinning room. It was like Thanksgiving. Sean looked at me and raised his eyebrow as if to say 'I excpeted nothing less.'

I walked over to an empty seat , next to where a plate sat, full of pie. Knowing it was Sean, I stiffled a laugh.

"Is something funny about a simple family dinner?" I heard his uncle say sternly.

"Um, no, just um..." I trailed off.

I looked down at my plate. It was empty. I was starving, but I never eat infront people who arent friends. I reach for a roll and quickly retreat when I find one. I savor it's warmness on my tounge. I close my eyes for a second, then opening them to find everyone staring at me disaprovingly.

"What?" I asked.

Sean raised another eyebrow.

'Crap' I think. I sigh.

"Look. I'm tired of you guys inviting me over, then hating me! Either you don't see me, or you do. OKay? Deal? Or do I have to spell it out for you?! You. Don't. Have. To. Invite. Me Over!" I stood up, pushing my chair back. I grabbed my stuff and walked out the door.

By the time I was home, so was my mom. Go figure.

I walked in and ran upstairs.

"Where were y-" sge screamed, but I cut her off," Don't!"
