Echizen Ryoma... I'm back

Chapter 3 Years

For the last few years I've been in England, I managed to advance some skills. Chinese, Korean, English, Art, Karate. I managed to get my tennis skills better as well. Now, all I want to do, is to go back to America to verse Ryoma. But I couldn't break my promise.

I didn't stay in England for long. Maybe after a year there, I went to Japan, Ryoma and my hometown. But I don't have much memory of it. All I remember is Ryoma, me and Ryoga playing tennis with Nanjiro Oyaji. He is a few years older than Ryoma.

So in Japan, I meet these playful but hardworking boys....

I was really bored that day. Ryoma was at school and no one was at home. So I decided to go out and play tennis where the public courts were. 

It only took a few minutes to get there but when I got there, all the courts were full. So I decided to wait until they group of boys were finished.

Maybe because I was alone, a group of boys (bullies) came to me and started 'talking' to me.

"Hey! Are you by yourself? Come and I'll teach you tennis," he said to me while his gang just whistled in the background. 

I ignored them and rolled my eyes at him. "I don't need YOU to teach ME how to play tennis."

All their expression changed. "Oi! That's not how you talk to our boss!"

"Come on guys! Let's teach her a lesson"

Then they all started walking towards me. I wasn't scared but I didn't want his filthy hands touching me. But before his hands touched me, two hands grabbed his and stopped it right in front of me. Also two boys came and stood in front of me.

I noticed that they were the boys who was playing tennis just before. To be honest, they were really handsome but looked much older than me. Maybe around 10 or 11 years old. 

"Koniichiwa. Are you okay?" one of the boys said to me. My first impression about him was he's so pretty. I know it was impolite to say a boy is pretty but his hair was a beautiful purple colour.

"Hai! I'm fine. Thank you very much! My name is Izumi Yuki and I'm 7 years old"  

"Koniichiwa Izumi san. My name is Yukimura Seiichi and this is Sanada Genichiro, Tezuka Kunimitsu and Fuji Shusuke. Are you by yourself?"

"Hai, I'm here by myself. I was coming to play because it got too boring at home but there was too many people here so I thought I'll wait for a little while," I explained to them.

"Would you like to play with us, Izumi san?" I think his name was Fuji.

"Is that fine with you guys?"

"Of course. It'll be a pleasure to play with you, Izumi san" Yukimura answered.

"Would you guys stop calling me Izumi san? It's too formal. Call me Yuki and I'll call you guys by your first name too. Is that okay?"

"Ah," Tezuka answered.

"So... Shusuke, Kuni, Seiichi, Geni. Should I call you guys oniichan?" I asked.

"No, it's okay. You don't have to. Come and we'll teach you tennis" Seiichi answered

"Nope. No teaching. I playing a game against you guys. Starting from today, one person each day and Seiichi is first"

"Are you sure? I'm pretty strong"

"Nah. Don't worry cause I'll bet you," I said, while smiling at him.

Well so basically I played all of them. I got 6-4 playing Seiichi, 6-2 for all the rest.

So this relationship carried on for 3 years. We'll play each other after school and weekends. Kei joined us too. He was confidence. Maybe too confident...

"Ore-sama no bigi ni yoi na!"

"Kei~ Stop saying that. I'm trying to concentrate here. I have a history test tomorrow and I'm revising so be quiet"

"Isn't it just a test? And you know everything already"

"Yes but that doesn't include Japanese history"

The history of Japan is so complicated and because I wasn't here for a few years, I can't keep up with history.

I got a call from Uncle Izumi saying that he wants me back in England to say something important. I think it's probably about the promise with Ryo. He also said that I'm leaving tomorrow and I can say bye to my friends just before I leave. I decided that I wouldn't tell them I'm leaving. Instead, I'll give them a letter...

"Game 7-6 Yuki wins"

"Yes! I win again. Keigo you promised me," I said happily.

"Fine! I won't say the word 'Ore sama' again in front of you"

"And if you say it again..."

"If I say it again, I'll grant you another wish. Happy?"

"Yas! Oh here. This is for you guys. Kuni, Shu, Seii, Geni and Kei. Don't open this until you go home otherwise I won't like you guys anymore," I said, trying to act grumpy.

"What is this? Love letter?"

They all looked at me

"No!? Of course not but it's something special. Can I get a hug before I go?"

"Sure why not a group hug?" Seii suggested

"Iyo" Geni replied

"Minnah we'll always be friends okay?"

"Of course. Are you okay?"

"Yeah. Why woul..."

"BEEP!BEEP!"

"Oh... I have to go. I'll see you guys later!" 

'But don't know when that will be. Probably after meeting Ryo'

3rd P.O.V

"I wonder what Yuki wrote for us? Want to check it out now? Altogether"

"Ah" Kuni replied. Only Yuki can defrost this ice mountain.

They opened it and it read:

To: Kuni/Seii/Geni/Shu/Kei

When you are reading the letter, I'm probably already gone. I know I should have told you but even I just got told yesterday. I'm leaving for England and I'm not sure when I'm gonna come back. I didn't tell you because I know we are good friends and we'll definitely meet again. If I do come back to Japan, I'll ask you to meet someone important to me. Saiyonara Oniichan.

They just all stood there in silence. No one wanted to speak after reading the shocking letter. All they had were questions. But they all know they shouldn't blame her cause she doesn't want anyone to see her cry.

"We'll definitely meet again"
