Chapter 11 – The Cave
Josh's eyes shoot open, as the scream of his name can be heard.
Josh slowly sits up, his vision dark and blurry, trying to catch his bearing and figure out where he is.
He sits there, hearing his name being screamed, it sounds like it miles away, but his ears are buzzing.
he tries to stand, but its not possible, everything is a blur, he cant concentrate, he cant focus. He lays down on the cold hard ground, only able to feel and know what it is, he moves his hands along the floor, picking up pebbles, rocks and dirt in between his fingers.
He stares straight up, slowly his eyes begin to focus and realizes he is not outside but nor is he in a tent or a house.
His hearing begins to function like normal as the screams of his name become louder and louder, like there in the same area as him. He sat up and looked around, not even 10 meters away, was a girl with blonde hair, tied up and sitting against the wall screaming Josh's name, it was Kira!
Josh rushed over to her..
"Kira shhhh, calm, what going on" Josh asked her
"I, I don't know what's going on" Kira replied
"how did you get here, what happened on your way out of the camping site, we found Joel's car"
"we stopped due to a person on the road, we thought he was hurt, so we went out to help him, and next minute his head turns to reveal a gas mask! I don't remember much after that, as I woke up here" Kira answers
"gas mask"
"you know what im talking about?" Kira asks
"I know the guy in the gas mask, ran into him a couple of times"
"how did you get here? I was passed out and then I awoke to you" Kira says
"im not quite sure. The last thing I remember is looking at that fucking thing with no face, collapsing and seeing the guy with the gas mask, the rest is a blank"
"that thing with no face is here" Kira informs Josh
"here?"
"where in its cave, its lair" Kira replies
Josh looks around the empty cave.
"is anyone else here from camp?"
"I know that Daniel and Joel are here somewhere" Kira replied
"Vicky and Alex?"
"Vicky is somewhere aswell, but she is working with the no face creep" Kira tells Josh
"how is she working for him?"
"I don't know, it all happened so fast" Kira responds
"what happened?"
"when I woke up, Alex and Vicky were here. Vicky wasn't herself, she was under the control of that creep. Alex was pleading with Vicky as Vicky walked slowly towards her with a knife, and then Bam! She stabbed her, just like that, no hesitation, like she had done it so many times before, and then she walked away. Haven't seen her since" Kira explained
"so Alex is gone, what happened to her body?"
"I don't know, I passed out shortly afterwards" Kira answered
Josh sat there processing it all, Alex was now gone, he had found Kira, but still had no idea where, Daniel, Joel, Maverick, Tamara or Vicky were.
"what happened to your shoulder?" Kira asked
