Percy POV
"No please!!" The girl begged. She twisted in pain, the ropes holding her in place tightened. She screamed in agony. I could feel it, I could feel her pain. "You don't belong in this world so I am going to kill you... oh this is going to be fun..." a man her age pulled out a blade and stabbed her calf. She screamed louder. "STOPPP!!" I tried to scream, this agony felt endless, I was slowly drowning. The man twisted the knife, the girl sobbed harder, struggling against the bonds. "Leave her alone!!' I shrieked.
My eyes shot open and I jolted up. I was dripping in cold sweat. "Percy?" Annabeth mumbled against my side. I turned and looked at her, her storm grey eyes traced my green ones. "I'm alright, just a bad dream." I whispered lying back down. I turned to face her, her face was covered in concern. "Hey, I'm ok." I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her closer to me.
I buried my head in her messy curly hair and took a deep breath, it smelt like lemons. I don't understand, these dreams should've stopped after Kronos was back in Tartarus.. this had me extremely confused. My eyes got droopy and I feel back asleep.
Next day:
For breakfast we got berries with waffles. Annabeth sat next to me, breaking the rules yet again.
I told the group about my dream. "Hmm" Annabeth tucked a hair behind her ear. "Can you remember what the girl looked like?" She asked. I shook my head."this doesn't make any sense." Grover scratched the back of his head.
Tyson was sitting, tinkering with some metal he found on the beach with me. "We could ask Chiron to let us go on a quest, I could ask the oracle as well?" I asked the group. Annabeth nodded and Grover gave me a thumb up. I stood up and walked to the Big house.
"Chiron?" He was talking with Mr. D. I walked closer and heard a piece of their conversation. "- I didn't think she was alive.." I walked closer interrupting them. " Chiron, Mr. D? I would like to have permission to go on a quest?" I asked putting a ton of innocence in my words (innocent my ass). Mr. D walked away uninterested. "Percy."
"Yes Chiron?"
"You had another dream again didn't you?"
"I- I-" I stuttered. How did he know? Chiron is just like that I guess. "Yes.." I said quietly. He kicked his hoof back and stomped it on the ground. "Well please explain, I can't give you permission for a quest I don't know about."
I carefully explained what I dreamt about. "I suppose I shouldn't leave you wondering." He sighed. "Very well, I give you permission for your quest." He waved his hand dismissively. "Also Chiron?" He turned towards me. "May I speak with the oracle?" He nodded and trotted off.
