Percy POV
"I'm going to kill those stuck up, sons of a.." I grumbled in frustration.
Flashback
"Another quest? Seriously? I'm so done with these gods-!" I walked towards the camp boarders in frustration, but one I reached them I felt vines wrap around my feet, Mr.D was still in the pavilion, I looked back, excepting Grover. But no, it was the one and only Persephone.
"Hello Percy." She spoke my name as if it were a disease. I chose to ignore it. She was sitting up on a branch, taller than where the fleece was not at all worried about the sleeping dragon underneath her.
"I thought you'd be with Hades." I rolled my eyes.
"Listen," she completely ignored my comment. "Iris.. We can't allow you to help her. This is not your quest as you might think it is." She gracefully hopped off the branch and walked towards me.
My eyes flared with distaste, didn't she realize what was happening. I knew better than to yell at Hades's wife no less a goddess. Hades didn't like me already, I didn't want to add to the list of reasons.
I shook my head sharply and stormed to my cabin.
Flashback ends
This is so frustrating. The one time I actually wanted- no needed to be on a quest it was forbidden. I had tried to send Iris an Iris-messages but she wouldn't pick up.
I collapsed onto my bed in my cabin. I rain my hands through my hair in frustration. Being a demigod is annoying, especially when you know your sibling is in danger and can't help.
"Percy?" A a familiar voice rang throughout the cabin. I ignored it.
I heard floor boards creak and I opened my eyes and sat up. The one person I didn't need to see was standing in front of me, Rachel.
"Hell do you want?" I snapped. Not even a month ago she had warned me about Tyson and Grover were in danger while they visited my dads palace and I raced off to find out that they were fine. I've been pissed ever since.
"Percy-"
"What?" I stood, clearly annoyed. I was not in a good mood for more bad news.
She glared at me. "Well, I have a prophecy. Only if you want to hear it. It's about Amber."
"Who the hell is Amber?" I said, my voice full of steel.
"Your sister? Amber Casey?" I blinked.
"Do you mean Iris?" I asked.
"Her foster parents just legally changed her name to Amber Casey." She rolled her eyes.
"Oh screw the gods. I'm outta here." I stormed out.
"Percy, No." Rachel followed.
"I am not going to sit back while my sister goes through harassment!" I whipped around.
I turned back around and started sprinting. I reached the top and Hermes was waiting for me.
"Oh great. Who else are they going to send? Maybe Aphrodite is next. Oh no, it's definitely Ares."
"Percy, you can't right now."Hermes voice was full of pity which was surprising for a god.
"So I've been told." I growled in annoyance."Annabeth and a few others are already going." He put his hand on my shoulder. He was wearing his usual joggers outfit.
"Annabeth?" My eyes widened. "She begged Chiron and the gods to go, so we allowed her, Nico, Grover, and Will to go."
"Why will?"
"Oh you truly are dense. Annabeth said she had a feeling Iris going to need some major medical attention when they find her so Annabeth requested that he came."
"I love her so much." I whispered, partly to myself.
"Yeah you have a good girlfriend. She is also Iris's sister, so she shares your concerns."
"I should leave, and just remember: Do not test the gods. Listen to me kid and don't leave this camp." And like that he started glowing. I turned away.
Hey it's me again, sorry for not writing lately!! School should go to Tartarus honestly. Well here's some angst for ya 😉
