Iris POV
"BROTHER!" Poseidon boomed.
I felt light headed, I couldn't think clearly. I felt Olive's arms tighten around me. There was yelling and I couldn't hear. But I wanted to. I wanted to hear every word.
Olive POV
The entire throne room erupted into chaos. I tightened my hold on Iris. She wasn't shaking, she wasn't crying she just stood there and that's what scared me the most.
"Zeus I understand your thinking but there is another way." Athena hissed.
"Get her out of here!" Percy told me. Annabeth was holding him back.
I scooped up Iris bridal style and ran her out. The first place I thought of was the library.
I reached the center where I would normally study. Yeah just picture huge book cases, or just a huge room in general and then really small table and chair in the middle. Yeah that's what it looked like.
"Iris,"I set her on the table in front of me. She held out her arms and I fell into them. She wrapped her legs around my waist and her arms were around my shoulders. She buried her head into my should and let out a sob.
"I couldn't hear anything." She whispered.
Confused I asked, "hear what?"
"Everything in there. After Zeus sentenced me everything when silent."
"Oh." Iris took a deep breath and looked up at me. I could feel her legs loosen and fall. Her bright hazel-grey eyes danced across my green leaf colored ones.
"I don't want to anger them. Could you take me to the-"
"Iris hun, you are insane. I'm not taking you anywhere and in this position you can't leave." I partly chose to set her on top on the table and me between her legs to stop her from leaving.
She sighed and slumped against me.
"Fine."
Heyyyyy. Sorry this is a short chapter and we are three quarters finished. Also I'm thinking of Bailey being gay... idk what do you guys think. Lemme knowww in the comments
