Iris POV

It had been 2 days since I got there, I know Percy is coming for me but I didn't think it would take this long.

My step-parents walked in my room. I had been reading, holding Olives key close. "Dinner time." My dad said and walked downstairs, followed by my mom.

I closed my book, Harry Potter, and walked downstairs.

"Sit." My mother told me.

I sat quite ungracefully. They started eating, I was studying my food for drugs. Yes it has happened, my father is a horrible man. Nope, seemed good I took a bite of steak.

"Iris, we are changing your name, legally." My mom said casually. I stopped, about to take another bite.

"What..."

"We are legally changing your name to Amber, it suits you better." My dad said, as if he was giving me a gift.

"My parents gave me this name! I won't except!" My wide eyes frantically searched for this being a misunderstanding, that I was dreaming.

My heart started to sink.

"We leave in an hour." A small little boy walked into the kitchen. He had short blue hair, and teal eyes. He looked around 10.

"Oh you brat, what did I tell you!" My mother started. I slowly stood up and walked over.

As I got closer, I noticed more things.

He had freckles around his nose, he had long dark navy eye lashes, and his teeth were straight.

"Hey," I said softly. His eyes wandered, looking me up and down. "What's your name?"

I sat down, signaling I wasn't going to hurt him. "I-I'm called brat. I-I don't have a name." He said. He looked to be around 4-5. He could speak perfectly well.

"Do they beat you too?" He asked. I nodded. I pulled him close and hugged him. I was sitting down, and he was still smaller than me.

He was extremely skinny. "Are you hungry?" I asked. The boy let go and nodded eagerly. I got up and grabbed my plate of food, ignoring my parents distasteful glares.

I sat on the floor with the boy. He sat across from me. "We will share." I started cutting half the steak into smaller pieces, and gave him the fork.

We ate hastily and quietly. Something about the boy seemed weird, and it wasn't the fact that his hair was neon blue and he was 10, but the fact that he had no name.

"We should come up with a name for you." I thought of names. Brady, Ethan, Gabe, then I thought it. "Bailey. It's perfect."

Bailey smiled, his entire face lit up. "I love it thank you!" He raced over and hugged me. I fell from he impacted and laughed.

"We should come up with my middle name and last!" He danced excitedly.

"Bailey... Bailey Ethan Carter-Jackson. Or Bailey Ethan Jackson." I smiled, I loved the name.

"I love it.." He started crying. I held him tight and walked him to my room, where we played mythomagic (Nico taught me), and soon fell asleep, smiling.

Hey guys!!! What do you think about the Carter Jackson thing hmmmmmmmmmmm? I think it's adorable. Also he will be a major character, just wait, just wait *evil laughter*
