JADAHS POV

"Can you take us to the hospital my car isn't here" I said still holding on to Jamie feeling her hot tears soak my shoulder."Yeah lets go" Jayceon said grabbing his keys from his back pocket.

I sat in the back with Jamie to comfort her while Jayceon drove.He had his elbow on the center counsel with his phone in his hand.

I put my hand on his wrist and he looked at me through the rear-view mirror."Thank you" I said rubbing my thumb on his thumb.He nodded and continued to drive.

When we got inside of the hospital Jamie ran to her mother who was crying just as hard as her.I went up to them and gave my condolences.Mr.Kane was like a father to me and I appreciate everything that he did for me.

"Jayceon you don't have to stay" I said walking up to him as he looked up from his phone."how you getting home" he said putting his hands in his pockets.He was right I'm sure everyone here was going to stay as long as they could.

"You hungry?"he said getting his keys out."Yeah imma go say bye first" I said walking towards Jamie and her family."I love you so much bestfriend" I said in her ear hugging her."I love you too mom" I said hugging her Mother.

They hugged me back still crying.Seeing them cry made me want to cry but it was like I couldn't. I really never was the type to cry at times like this.

"Ready?" I said walking up to Jayceon as he nodded his head.

The car ride was silent but not a Awkward silence.I looked at Jayceon as he was focused on the road.One hand on the steering wheel one hand on his lap.His phone rang and the contact name read "Tanya".

"You gone answer that?" I said putting my hands under my thighs."Answer what?" He said smirking.
I sucked my teeth and grabbed his phone.I answered it and put it on speaker."Jayceon what the fuck took you so long to answer" Tanya yelled.

I put my lips in a "ooooo" position making him laugh."what is so funny" she said making me throw the phone on his lap.Her voice was so loud for no reason."Wassup man what you want" He said getting irritated.

"Can you come get me" She said calmly.He looked at me like he was thinking about something and then shook his head."Nah im doing something".

"Really? So you just gone let me and your child walk" she said making me chuckle."Don't start throwing everything on your pregnancy" he said sucking his teeth.

I zoned out thinking about how I'm disrespecting myself by being in the car with a grown man while he on the phone with his baby's mother is that how I wanted to be treated? I mean I know he ain't ask me to marry him but it was like I didn't want to come second to anyone."Where you wanna go to eat" He said snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Home" I said playing with my fingers.He looked at me and laughed."Why you be acting like that".
"Acting like what" I said with a dumb look on my face.
