The Big Lie

Chapter IV - Los Angeles

And Said, "Who are you and why are you here?"

I took initiative because Ross was still clueless and said, "I... I was the one who... brought here, as in my dad was the kidnapper, but I was against it..."

"WHAT?", She yelled. "Your dad was the kidnapper?"

"No, I mean yes... uhh... I can explain" I replied nervously

"If you had any relation with the monster that kidnapped my child, then you have no right to stay here", She replied. That was the last I saw Amy and her family.

Now it was Ross and me, homeless, wandering the streets of Los Angeles. We had no clue what to do. We had to find someone. We were still wandering the streets and I see Oli (short for Oliver), who was a friend of mine from school, who recently moved to LA.

I stopped him and he recognized me! I told him the whole story and he said that his parents had gone to Singapore for a business trip, as they both work in the same company; doing the same role which left him all alone at home. He invited us to come stay for a while but he also warned us in advance that his parents were not at all nice and will definitely not let them stay.

I agreed and followed him to his house. He obviously had a massive and a very complicated gaming setup, which is what he loved to do! The house was a nice 3-storey bungalow, which was five minutes away from the heart of Hollywood.

Days past and Ross and I were still with Oli, regretting that his parents were coming back in another two weeks. We needed to do some dishes, and get groceries from the nearby store once a week in order to stay there, Oli was a demanding person but he was doing us a massive favor.

When I reached the grocery store with Ross that day, MY DAD was shopping there as well! We had to get out of that store and back home immediately. However, there was only one way out, the front exit but if we went there, my dad will spot us for sure. He spotted me! I'm sure! He was now fast-walking towards me! Ross and I needed to get out PRONTO! We made a run for it, my dad was now chasing us.

We kept running and into a small gully we went. My dad walked into the same exact gully. We ran out as quick as we could but he didn't follow! It struck me that maybe the third kidnapping, which had been changed NYC to LA, I found by the phone call in the airport bathroom!

Why was I always present when some massive kidnapping was going to take place. I watched closely though. The same guy from the Amy kidnapping came, along with... who must have been Ralf Johnson. The same thing happened, Ralf was shoved from one car to my dad's car... but was that not in San Fransisco? Maybe he got a new car, but that's irrelevant. Poor Ralf went away in his car but the guy who was my dad's kidnapping partner was coming towards us. We had to run, and so we did! That was a close call but we escaped it. We went back to Oli's house and went to bed immediately after a day full of close calls.

A few more days passed and Oli's parent's arrival was coming. They were coming the day after that day. We had made preparations to leave and find another spot to live. We had decided maybe living as a paying guest with someone at a small rate.

The day came and we had to leave. We waved goodbye to Oli and set out on our journey. We had to sleep that night on the street. The next day, the hunt for the accommodation began. I still couldn't find one after many days.

Then, it was bound to happen, I found a house and I also found a really nice woman who lived there and was willing to let us live there, for just US$10 per day. This was about as cheap as it could get. I nabbed the offer when it was presented to me. The woman also made breakfast, lunch, and dinner for us if we were willing to pay $3 extra per day. We obviously took the food offer and paid $13 a day.

A few awesome days after, the woman was still giving us great food that I and Ross looked forward to it every single day. Some days she would make pizza, other days Mexican food, Indian food, and other days she will order food in.

One day finally came, when...
