Reid's POV

"I won't do it."
"Reid it's the best option."
"No. I've already lost my mom I'm not losing her."
"You wouldn't be losing her-"
"Putting her in a foster home! Hotch come on! She can stay with me."
"And when your off on cases?"
"She can come with me."
"So a-How old is she?"
"She turns 17 in a few months."
"You want to expose a sixteen year old girl to the harsh world we live in."
"She can handle it."
"This is on you. She's your sister."
"I understand."
I leave Hotch's office and find my sister has disappeared.
"Where's Leya," I ask Morgan.
"Garcia took her to the bat cave."
"Okay. Thanks."
I walk down to the bat cave and hear laughing.
"Wow Leya your nothing like your brother," I heard Garcia say.
"Really?"
"Yea."
"Thanks Garcia. That's the first time someone has ever said that to me."
I walked in and found them eating pizza.
"When-"
"Oh boy wonder you need to learn the magic of a computer and fast delivery."
"I'll add that to my list of things to learn. Um Leya can I talk to you for a second."
"Yea sure."
We stepped out of the bat cave into a hallway down far enough Garcia couldn't hear us.
"What's up?"
"Well I kinda asked Hotch if you could be on the team-"
"Bro number one rule we made. No lying. Your lying. You forced Hotch to let me stay with you and be apart of the team because you didn't want me in a foster home and us being separated."
"I-How-"
"I'm Spencer Reid's little sister."
"That you are. So are you okay with that?"
"Totally. And if it'll get him off your case I'll stay with Garcia for the cases."
"Haha thanks sis."
I hugged her but made sure I did so lightly. I knew she was lying about just having bruises but I knew she was just trying to keep me from worrying so I let her slide.
She walked with me to the conference room and sat by me. She sat with her feet in her seat and arms wrapped around her knees. She always did that it was cute when she was younger but now it was just a habit of hers.

Leyas pov

I sat with my feet in my chair and arms wrapped around my legs. I saw Spencer look at me and then turn back towards the front where the tv was. I knew he thought I sat like this out of habit but really I had another reason. See I got bullied at school just like Spencer. But because I'm a girl and Spencer's kid sister my bullying was worst. Or at least it was when I compared it from the stories Spencer used to tell me. He started telling me them when I first started getting bullied but as time went on and the bullying got worst I made the stories sound less and less bad until to him I wasn't getting bullied. And his stories of him being bullied stopped and started with his team. I used to love hearing about them. All their different backgrounds and how they rose from it inspired me. Garcia walked in and pictures showed up on the tv screen. I looked closely at the pictures and squinted my eyes and tilted my head.
"Leya you don't have to squint there's a tablet in front of you to-"
"I know. But guys do what I just did to the pictures on your tablet and see if you see the same thing."
They did and looked at me.
"Ugh."
I sat right and grabbed my tablet. With a few codes and swipes I had what I had seen up on the tv.
"That. See that."
I placed the images side by side. It looked like each victim had a tattoo on their wrist.
"Okay," Morgan asked.
"Now watch."
I turned a few of the images and placed them over each other and then drew the rest each in a different color to stimulate a different victim.
"Woah," I heard Garcia mumble.
"Now do you see what I see," I asked and they turned to me.
"How did you see that," Rossi asked.
"My brain has a special way of functioning to put it simply."
"Well now we have two geniuses," Emily said and I smiled looking at my brother who smiled back.
"Wheels up at eight. Get some sleep everyone," Hotch said dismissing us.
We went to leave and my phone started to ring.
"I'll catch up Spence. It's one of my friends from school."
He nods and I go over to the end of the hall by a window and answer.
"Hey Sally," I said as cheerfully as I could fake.
"So your still undercover."
"Yea. I know the party is Saturday."
"Do they have suspicions?"
"I don't know if I can make it. I'm spending the weekend with my brother."
"Are you going on their case?"
"Yea I know it's so cool. He's even taking me to the amusement park."
"Alright. Keep undercover. Don't let them know. It's the only way to keep everyone safe."
"Well my brothers waiting on me downstairs so I gotta go."
"Leya stay safe."
"Bye."
I hung up the phone and ran to the elevator.
"Hey little genius where you headed?"
"Oh hey Mr. Morgan."
"Kid you can call me uncle Morgan or Morgan. Just please don't call me mister. It makes me feel old."
"Haha okay."
I look at the elevator and bite the inside of my cheek. All this laughing is adding up to some really bad pain.
"Hey kid you okay?"
"Yea. I just-miss mom. That's all."
The elevator doors opened and we got in and rode silently to the ground floor where I found Spence sitting in a chair reading a magazine.
"Hey Spence."
"Oh your done with your phone call."
"Yep. Can we go home now?"
"We sure can."
Spence put his arm around my shoulder and I put mine around his back and leaned my head against his shoulder as we walked out.

Morgan's POV

I rode the elevator with Leya and when she got out her and her brother chatted for a second before walking away. As they walked away my only thought was that they were so adorable. Then I made a promise to myself. If anyone touches either of them I'll kill them.
