Violet's P.O.V-
I was no detective but something wasn't right about what I saw from the kitchen window. Who was that little girl?
I know I know I'm being a tad nosy but this is my crush we're talking about plus he's still in the girl world and normal world, a stranger. But that's not going to stop me whatsoever. I am a very determined person.
I was going to stop by his job today to help him load and catch fish from the docks. That would be an amazing opportunity to grill him with all my burning questions. He'd probably think I'm crazy afterwards. I was weighing the pros and cons with Marley, Andrea was no Watson she got too distracted. I told her what I saw and she too is curious. I had wrote the pros and cons of snooping around on a stray note pad paper and she was taking a look at it.
"So what do you think?," I sign when she finally looks up. She crinkles her nose.
"This has got to be the most craziest idea you have ever done," she signs back. I figured she'd say that.
"Why is it bad?," I sign.
"Nope just very risky, just ask him plain and simple about what you saw," Marley signs rolling her eyes. I thought of that idea but then again playing Sherlock Holmes seem a hella more fun.
"Fine buzz-kill," I sign and she flicks her wrist as to dismiss me. I get up and walk out of the kitchen and head upstairs to change for the meet up I'll have with Frank.
Once I was done changing into what I called my "Tomboy Clothes" I grabbed my keys and a spare change of clothes including my bathing suit, who knows if I can swim there.
I decided to take my bike and take the safe trail. I had found this trail a while back when I tripped over a fucking tree root that resurfaced from the ground. Nonetheless I still have a bruise on my left thigh.
So here I was a little deaf girl pedaling on a bike to her best guy friend (stranger)'s job to help him out. My parents wouldn't give two shits anyway if I was doing something dangerous because believe it or not they think I'm a weakling a simple parasite in their oh-so perfect world. Apparently I was sucking the life out of them.
I continued to pedal, trees, fields of grass, passed by me. I had to brake a couple of times for passing animals or fucking tree roots again. I was deaf but I surely was not blind. I saw the path to the boardwalk so I skid a little and parked my bike in the endless bike rack.
I put my shades back on. I walked around trying to find Frank's possible job. I smelled fish definitely. I saw a boat and a guy in a grey fishermen's suit waving a fish in the air. I ran and my blind self finally saw a sweat streaked Frank waving at me. I stood right in front of him and smiled.
"Hello!," I sign to him and he puts one finger up telling me to wait. He reaches into the boat strapped to the dock and pulls out a smaller matching suit to his own. He handed it to me.
"Hey you, put this on we are going fishing," He signs and I sigh mentally.
"You smell bad," I sign jokingly as I got into the boat carefully, it rocked a bit as I got in.
"Good that means you my lady will smell like one too once we're done fishing," he signs as he gets in as well. He positions himself next to the motor and turns to me. He has been making a lot of deaf jokes to humor me.
"You may have to cover your ears," he signs.
"Fuck off," I sign laughing silently and he starts the engine and of course I hear nothing, white noise. The boat rocks back and forth before continuing and we are off. We zoom around to find a good fishing spot which we do and its shallow not too shallow though like five feet. He hands me a fishing pole and stops the motor.
