It seemed life in Johnsville would just be normal. But as Summer begins to discover who she is, she also finds that Johnsville may not be so normal after all.

Chapter 1: Far From Yesterday
I watch as my blonde hair sways from side to side, in perfect timing with the wind. As I sit on this old tire swing my dad put up when I was young, I start to think about ten days from now. The day I turn sixteen. Here in Johnsville it's vey difficult to find someone throwing a big party for when they are turning sixteen. It's celebrated like any other birthday; cake, balloons, and people. Alot of kids in Johnsville tend to go wild when they turn sixteen alot of grownups say its because of the legend of "The Super Humans" it's a legend known throughout Johnsville; It is said that at birth several "chosen" babies are injected with some toxins from a toxic waste facility in town. Alot of people at school dread their sixteenth birthday. But I just laugh. Anyway, according to the legend those "chosen" kids at the age of sixteen start developing wings, powers, and stuff like that. So basically they turn superhuman. Out of all places, Johnsville would be the last place someone would come looking for a story like this one. Johnsville is just a town so small, so peaceful, it gets on your nerves sometimes.
