~Chapter Three~
I walk into my house and grab an apple from the fruit bowl. I love peanut butter, so I grab the jar and a spoon and make my way up to my room.
I grabbed my backpack before I went up, so I start on some of my homework, except for science.
I look to my bedside clock and realize it's quarter after four and, I remember that Noah will be here soon.
I decide to quickly text Caroline and let her know on my afternoons events because she's the little gossiper of the group, so I know she'll let Julie know for me.
After that, I set my phone to charge and walk down my stairs to the kitchen where we will be studying.
I set up my books for science, and check my instagram and twitter untill I hear the doorbell ringing in my house.
I open the door and see Noah, with his usual grin on his face.
"Hey Noah!" I say, happily.
"Hey Samantha, can I come in?" He asks.
"Well thats why you're here, so of course." I say with a small smile. I have Noah, the guy I've liked for some time now, at my house, weird.
I guide Noah into my kitchen and offer him a seat at the kitchen table where I have my books.
"Would you like anything to drink or eat?" I ask him.
"Just water please." He says nicely.
Wow, I seriously wish every teenage boy was like this. How is this kid one of the most popular kids anyways?
"Sure!"
I grab him his water and some juice for me because quite honestly I hate pop and I wasn't in a water mood, and sit down at the table.
"So is science your enemy?" He asks me with a grin.
"Maybe.."
"Well, I have dreams of becoming a scientist so you're in luck."
"Awh, yay for me." I say, very sarcastically.
"Oh you don't have to be like that." Noah replies with a pout.
"Well, I think it is actually quite necessary."
"I see you're not as shy as you are cut out to be."
He does have a point. Maybe I'm not as shy as I think.
"I'm shocked. Usually I can't talk to anyone, to you, it's natural." I say, while I feel my cheeks heat up.
"I'm glad then. Well, we should probably start on your science."
Right, science.
After two hours, my science is finished, but I still don't understand the importance of the crap that people call science.
I said this to Noah and he actually gave me a ten minute long rant. Figures.
"Well, thank you Noah. I didn't know you were that much of a nerd." I say, with a small wink.
"Your welcome, my darling science hater." He says, with a wink. Noah's one of those people that can wink.
"I should get going, I'll see you at school tommorow."
Noah and I both get up and I lead him to the door.
"Thanks again, it meant a lot."
"Like I said, no problem." While he did this he lightly squeezed my hand. I swear, my heart almost leapt out of my chest.
"Bye Samantha." He says, dropping my hand and walking out the door.
"Bye Noah." I say as I watch him walk away.
And now, I know why I like him.
