Hoseok
"Where's Jimin hyung?
Jungkook was scrutinizing him from head to toes, his arms crossed, a suspicious look in his brown orbs. He was wearing a black long sleeved shirt, round glasses perched on his nose, making him look even more fashionable than he already was. They were having a literal staring contest, both boys throwing knives at each other with their eyes, the heavy tension creating a dark aura around them.
"He has the flu, so he's sleeping." Hoseok said in a protective tone, anger seeping out of his fake smile.
"Guys, can you cut it out already?" Namjoon said, breaking the black possessive bubble around them by interfering in their staring battle.
Jungkook annoyingly sighed and got up, dusting off his jeans and walking towards the kitchen where Yoongi and Jin were casually cooking, greeting the youngest with a confused smile. Hoseok sighed and dropped his head on the table, his nerves wrecking his mind. He felt Namjoon's hand on his own, tapping it gently with his own to give him some friendly sort of comfort.
"Relax."
"I don't need to relax, this kid is searching for trouble!"
"Hoseok, you're just throwing oil on the fire! He's trying to get on your nerves, but that doesn't mean that you should encourage him by responding to his idiocy."
The brunette roughly placed his cup of iced tea on the table and got up, leaving Namjoon alone in the living room. He was acting like a child, but he didn't even care a little bit. He was tired of all this bullshit happening around him, he was tired of his "friendship" with Jimin, he was tired of his "friendship" with Jungkook and all he wanted to do was to go back to the old days when he could playing video games with his best friend and his lover without the awkwardness surrounding the atmosphere around them.
He hated this situation, he loathed how things were going and he wasn't patient enough, but Jimin's sake was more important than anything and Hoseok didn't want to trigger anything in the boy's poor mind so he kept his emotions all to himself, only to become more and more angry than ever. He never felt that way before, even when he found out about Jungkook and Jimin's affair not too long ago, he was calm about it, he was comprehensive and gentle, well, not to Jungkook, but that's another story. For some reasons, the fact that Jimin and him finally had an agreement on being "friends" at the moment kind of made him lose his self control.
"Hyung?" A soft voice asked not too far from him.
He realized that he was in his room, where Jimin was sleeping because of his fever, right in front of the fireplace, harshly playing with his fingers. Hoseok turned his head around and saw how disheveled Jimin's blond hair was. His brown natural roots were starting to appear even more and for some random reasons, this kind of made Hoseok's heart sink a little.
"Do you need anything, Jimin-ah?"
"No, I was just wondering what was making so many noises." The feverish boy answered, letting his head fall on the pillow. "Who had a fight again? I kept hearing people bickering."
"Oh... Sorry."
Jimin glanced at his ex-lover and understood that he was the one fighting with Jungkook again. He sighed loud enough for Hoseok to hear and replaced the wet cloth on his forehead.
"You two should stop and be best friends again."
"That's a naive thing to say, Minnie."
"I can say whatever I want." He fake coughed and took a over exaggerated ill voice. "I'm on the verge of death, if you don't want me to come haunt you after I die, let me speak freely."
Hoseok laughed and walked over to Jimin, removing the cloth to check his temperature. He cringed at how hot it was and went to rince the fabric so it would be cold enough.
"I think..." Jimin started with a small smile. "That if you and Jungkook explain everything out, you guys could start being friends again, or at least in good terms."
"That, could probably help." Hoseok thought, putting back the now even wetter cloth on Jimin's burning forehead. "But I would need Jungkook's cooperation and that may be a bit difficult."
"I'll talk to him!"
"No, you should sleep. You're flaming hot."
"Hyung!" Jimin whined, pouting at his friend.
"You need to cool down, Jimin." Hoseok said and muttered to himself after. "And I need to do so as well."
The younger man rolled his eyes and hummed, fatigue slowly taking over him. He looked up at Hoseok's hand still on his forehead and blushed at how close they were. The dancer backed away at Jimin's timidity and waved at him cutely before leaving his room, closing the door behind him. He slid on the back of the door and sighed, his breathing heavy.
"I have to find a way to contain myself." He said to himself, hiding his face in his shirt.
"You should, we wouldn't want you to violate our precious child." Jin's voice was heard in front of him, chuckling at how red Hoseok's cheeks became because of the embarrassment.
This golden boy will be the death of him, but Hoseok was waiting for him with his arms wide open.
