I decided I needed to be outside before dealing with everyone today. I was used to being by myself and working on my schedule so the thought of the day ahead stressed me out. Being outside and feeling the familiar bite of the cold was comforting in some weird way.

Walking up the front stairs of the pack house I open the door to see the Alpha step down the last stair to look up at me in confusion.

"What're you doing outside I told you to stay inside" he walked over grabbing my forearm and pulled me inside to close the door quickly.

"It's cold as hell outside for a human too, don't do that without the proper clothing on."

Walking in to the kitchen together I saw Malachi sitting in one corner sipping on a coffee and reading a thick book. Alpha walked over to a cupboard and brought out two mugs before turning the kettle on.

"Alpha I do not need a drink; thank you" I muttered still watching the man in the corner further immerse himself in his book.

"Your body needs to heat back up so yes you do."

"Alpha not to question your authority or anything but she's been living out in the forest for years she could handle the forest better than us maybe even better than the mountain wolves" Malachi chimed in briefly looking over his mug before going back to his book.

Sighing Alpha put the mug to the side while he turned around with his drink and motioned for me to follow him upstairs.

Walking into his office I knew straight away we were going to get down to business.

"I'm going to have Anton follow you from now on when your not within the pack house or with me as I do not trust you yet. Fair?"

"Yes Alpha that seems fair" would be stupid if he didn't if it were anyone else.

"Alpha I have a question I would like to ask."

He made a small hand gesture for me to continue, "I would like to join the pack. It would allow us to have a greater trust and for others to trust me more. Would make my word during this time more worthy."

"I can't just let you join the pack your human" he seemed uninterested while he looked through papers that were on his desk.

"I'll go through with all the procedures in order for me to do that but please it would... would mean a lot to me as I haven't had a lot to do with anyone or anything for a long time. I'm lost here sir I don't know my background all I know is the cabin in the forest and making sure everyone here is safe.

"Me being apart of something could help bring out my personality or something within me. It could help us understand why I'm the way I am."

The Alpha had thankfully put down what he was reading to listen to me. For once I wasn't being stone cold, I was giving what little of myself I have to him so he could see how truthful I was being.
