Today was the same as always. Get up, coffee, bathe in the lake, get dressed, scout area for food and for any danger.

My life was a record on repeat and some how I had become okay with that.

Skipping from branch to branch I look down at the snow and look at the tracks already knowing that the ones I were looking at right now were apart of the pack. In order for me to protect these people I had to know them. As creepy as it sounded I knew nearly everything about them.

I had to now make my way outside of the pack border to look for any signs of oncoming rogues. This was apart of my job, to make sure nothing goes in or out.

Looking through the branches of trees I saw a small glimpse of fur. If I hadn't paid close attention I wouldn't have seen it. Springing into action I jump quietly from branch to branch and spot the bit of fur.

Now it was time for taking notes, I had to figure out if this was a good wolf or a bad wolf. I had to take in the small, tiny details that could define the two.

First I look at the fur. The fur in this wolf was scruffy and there were scars running along the muzzle and near the eyes. This meant that the wolf liked to have a bit of a fight. That is one tick towards a rotten egg.

Then you look for the behavior. Was the wolf being careful and trying to get out of the area as fast as possible knowing that there was a pack near by.

This wolf walked uncaringly around leaving his scent lingering on the things he bumped into. He was trotting over bushes and breaking branches with his sharp teeth if they got in the way. This wolf was not being careful and clearly didn't care if he were to come in contact with some pack wolves.

Coming close to the wolf I made the decision that the wolf was out for trouble so jumping down from where I watched I startled the wolf cause him to pin his ears to the back of his head and lower the front of his body to the ground before pulling his mouth back in a snarl showing me his canines.

I tilted my head to the side showing that his little show did nothing to me. This made him growl again and take a step forward.

I nodded my head up in acknowledgment before making a small shooing motion with my hand. He looked down before slowly bringing his eyes back up to my hooded ones.

He loosens up a little when he notices that I'm not attacking straight away. He slowly takes a step back continuing to watch my every move while I stand there watching him.

Finally, after a minute he decides that I'm not worth anymore damage to his face and turns to leave the area taking in my warning that clearly I was keeping watch.

Turning around I climb a tree near by and make my way towards the pack. This was another part of my routine. I go there and look around making sure that there wasn't any suspicious behavior going on. If there were to be I would keep track of that person to make sure that they wouldn't go behind the Alpha's back and cause trouble.
