The next morning, Astoria woke up to the sounds of movement in her room. She sat up too quickly which caused her to be dizzy, but it had passed. She looked over to see Oliver kicking around as if he was having a nightmare. She crawled out of bed and hurried over to his side. She knows how it feels to have nightmares and hates seeing others suffer through their own.
Astoria lightly touched his arm, and he woke up. His eyes were now an unnatural yellow, but normal to him. His claws were out, and he was ready to attack. She had practically jumped out of her skin because of the shocking scene that played out in front of her. Her first thoughts were to grab the knife that was hidden behind her bedside table.
Oliver's senses had focused on the girl, and he stopped himself from hurting her. He sat down from where he was standing. What happened before he flashed before his eyes. Astoria was afraid of a boy she had just met. She was unsure of what was happening. Oliver could sense her fear, but also her ability to defend herself.
"I'm sorry!" He cried out.
Astoria's eyes were still on him, "It's okay, you were having a nightmare. You lashed out because of what was happening."
"I could have hurt you." Oliver sighed.
"And I could have killed you out of fear, but I didn't," Astoria said with confidence.
"I can sense that you're afraid on the inside, but you act like a badass on the outside. Why?" The young wolf questioned the girl in front of him.
"Ashton has the ability to sense your feelings on the outside, but not on the inside. I can be sad inside but look happy on the outside. Anger is hard to hide." She explained.
"Say that backward and you're a red version of Yoda." Oliver joked.
Astoria's eyes went wide. "I just realized that I should probably get you out of here."
"There's that fear again." He stated as she went over to the door to lock it.
"If you lived with Ashton, you'd understand why I'm afraid of him. You didn't spend 5 years of your life here!" Astoria said with worry that Ashton would find out the werewolf never left.
"Can't you just sneak me out?" Oliver wondered.
"It's not that easy. I'd tell you to ask Talia's partners, but they often never make it out alive." The upset redhead warned him.
"Distract yourself. Tell me what your biggest fear is." The boy looked into her eyes.
He grabbed her hands and held her. Their eyes had finally met for the first time. He could see into her beautiful green eyes that resembled fresh-cut grass. She could see into Oliver's eyes. She quickly used her powers to look inside his mind. She felt darkness, worry, and love. She felt the rush of strong feelings he had last night when he spotted Sabrina.
"You love Sabrina." She said with a smirk.
"How do you know that?" Oliver looked at the girl, panicking.
"I looked inside your mind. Believe me when I say I won't tell anyone unless you want me to." She stated.
"If Ashton knew, he would kill me and my whole family just to make a point." He said, afraid. "He would skin us and wear our fur as a coat."
"Realistically he wouldn't, he would skin you alive, yes, but Talia would be the one to wear you as a coat." She corrected, earning a laugh from him.Sabrina had just woken up. She was wearing a pale pink short nightgown. She was walking down the hallway where her friend's room was located. Not long after doing the spell last night, Sabrina grew tired and just wanted to sleep. She slept well throughout the night but had a dream of Astoria with a boy.
