Chapter 5

Jahi's POV

I felt someone hit my arm, and I immediately looked over.

Kaylee was looking at me with an annoyed face.

"What?" I whispered, still looking at the board.

"You're flirting with her!" She whisper screamed.

"What? No I'm not. She's just my friend. How many times do I have to tell you?" I whispered.

She just rolled her eyes and faced  the front.

"A friend that I think I like." I mumbled.

*Skip to lunch*

Quashara's POV

I walked outta the classroom pretty quickly because it was PRETTY awkward in that classroom after the teacher took that note..

Anyway, I wondered the halls a bit till I saw in big bold letters CAFETERIA on the outside of a door.

I went inside and found three lunch lines, about 15 tables, and a stage.

I was amazed at how big the whole thing was. But nothing compared to my old school.

I walked around till I was approached by Kaylee and her.... baby ducks? Idk. They aren't good enough to be called a squad so...  let's go with baby ducks.

"Hey!" She said, all perky and shit. "Wanna come sit with us?"

"Umm.." I hesitated, obviously. "Sure..?"

"Great! Follow me!" We got our lunches and sat at a table.

We talked for about 10 minutes till things started getting weird.

"Soo... What do you wanna do after school?" She asked.

"Me?" I asked, looking around.

"Yes you! Duh! Who else?"

"Uh, I can't. I.... have a lot of homework." I lied.

"I know that's a lie, considering its the first day of school." She said, matter of factly. "How about the mall?"

Right then I got a text.

Jahi😈: Where are you?

😍Quashara😙: at lunch.. where are YOU?

Jahi😈: Im outside

😍Quashara😙: we can eat outside?! Im outta here..

Jahi😈: cash me ousside how bou dah?

😍Quashara😙: 😐

Jahi😈: ok ill stop

I looked up from my phone, and Kaylee was tryna read my texts.😐

"Umm?" I said snatching my phone away.

"Im gonna go. I hafta meet someone."

"No!! Dont leave!" She aaid, acting like she was my bestie.

"Im sorry, I have to." I lied, knowing well that Jahi wouldnt make me do something I dont wanna do.

I grabbed my lunch walked away quickly.

I found Jahi outside with a few other guys.

"Hi" I said shyly.

"Hey" Jahi said. "Yo!" "Wassup!" The other guys said.

"Dante, Myles, this is Quashara. Quashara, this is Dante and Myles."
