Monday morning and my parents are left early for work. My alarm at 6:30am woke me up. I got up to take a shower, brush my teeth, wash my face, brush my hair, and get dressed. It became 7:15am and I found myself cooking, breakfast, and lunch for later at school. School lunch is disgusting. The TV was left on by my parents, so the weatherman said it was going to rain today. When I finished packing my lunch, and eating breakfast. I left home at 7:30am and walked to school. It took me 20 or 15 minutes to walk to school.

When I got to the front of the school, I saw a cardboard box, with the words adopt me written on the box. I opened it to find the world's cutest kitten ever. I wanted to take it, but I have to get to class. The sky was cloudy, the school's grass was still wet. When I reached my locker, I shoved my backpack inside it. I locked my locker and walked back to my classroom, suddenly I bumped into a friend of mine. She and I share the first four periods together. "Hey!" She yelled out to me. "Hi" I smiled at her.

She began to ramble about stuff she did over the weekend, and things she did last week too. I didn't mind her company, she was nice and she gave me the weirdest advice. When I first met her, I thought she was annoying, but she wasn't so bad. She forced me to go out with her sometimes. She had other friends, but she complained to me a lot about how they were "fake" and "all that." We walked to first period together, and sat next to each other. She never brought her book so she thought sharing with me was okay, I didn't mind. After first period, she needed to go to the restroom to meet up with her other friends whom she hated so much. I walked back to my locker to put my textbook back. I opened my backpack to search for a notebook with my homework inside it. Panicked, I was flipping each notebook to look for the 5 page essay, I worked on for my history project. While I was focused on that, I was shocked to suddenly feel a soft tap on my shoulder. I turned around knowing it wasn't that friend of mine because she would just yell. It was a boy, who looked very familiar but I couldn't tell who he was.

The boy smiled like he knew me forever, but I was still confused. I felt the urge to speak, hoping I wouldn't embarrass myself, "Um.. Can I help you?" He laughed softly and asked, "Sorry, I was wondering if you knew where this classroom was." He pointed at the room number on his schedule, for me to look at. I was lucky it was the same class as mine because I never paid attention to room umbers. I looked at him and said, "Oh, that's good we have this next class together!" I gestured my hand as if to follow me. He nodded and as we walked down the halls, I tried making small talk, to defuse any awkward tension. "I hope you don't mind me asking, but what school did you go to before coming here?" I asked. He told me he was homeschooled up until now, so he was pretty nervous.

"Sorry to ask but do I know you from somewhere? You look familiar but I just can't remember who you could be?" I questioned. He looked at me as if to scan my appearance, then looked surprised. As for me, I was still bewildered. "You're that girl who forgot her change!" He was passionate. My expression transformed from bewildered to embarrassment. I muttered, "Great." He smiled at me and we finally arrived to class. The teacher had the students stand up again so that he could make adjustments to the seating arrangement for the new kid. Once this class finished, he left the room alone. I thought he'd follow me around, but he didn't.
