Summer Fling

Chapter 3

Skylar stood up still looking at me. He held out his hand like he did the first time I met him. He gave me a smile and I smiled back as I grabbed his hand to stand up.

"So... i'll see you around?" He said. "How am I supposed to be yours if i'll see you around?" "Do you have a cellphone?" "Oh come on Skylar, who in this world does not have a cellphone?" He laughed. "I'm asking my Melody for her cellphone so I can give her my number," he said as he winked at me with a smirk.

I handed him my cellphone and watched him put his phone number in my contacts. "Here." He handed back my phone. "I hope I get to see you soon." "I'm sure you will." I bit my bottom lip. He gave me a smile. "See ya." "See ya." And he looked at me as he turned and walked away.

I looked to where Anna was, and she was sitting up. "Hey love, finally awake?" "Yeah I slept well. On the beach. How did we get here?" "We got drunk, left the club, walked the beach, and fell asleep." "Oh. Okay." Anna stood up from where she was and walked over to me. "Well, are you ready to go home? my head is pounding." "Yeah." We walked home and opened the patio door. "Hungry?" I asked Anna. She was sitting at the island with her head down. "Yes ma'am indeed." "What would you like to eat?" "I would really like some cereal." "What kind?" "Cocoa Pebbles." "Nice choice my friend. I'll have a bowl myself."

After we finished our bowls of cereal, I put the bowls in the sink and I went upstairs to shower and change for the day. Today I wore a white crop top and some shorts, with a pair of sandals. Something simple for the day.

"Hey are you doing okay?" I asked Anna. "Not really, my head is pounding and I feel like my head is going to explode any second." "Do you want me to get you Advil from the store?" "pleaseee? if you will?" "Yes ma'am. Where are the keys?" "I think they're on the island counter." "Okay. I'll be back love." "Okay I'll be waiting."

I grabbed the keys and my wallet and headed out the door. I walked to the car and opened the door and sat in the drivers seat. I put the keys in the ignition and started the car. I don't really know the directions to Walmart, so I looked for Skylars name in my contacts and messaged him.

"Hey Skylar, are you busy?"

"Miss me already?"

"You're funny. I was wondering if you would go with me to Wal-Mart? I don't know the directions."

"Yeah sure, I just got done surfing so just tell me where you live."

"I live in the middle beach house on the beach. You'll see it."

"Alright well where should I look for you?"

"Car."

"Alright on my way."

He eventually found his way to the car and knocked on the car window with a smile. I unlocked the car door and he opened it and hopped in the passenger side. "You're so beautiful." He was looking at me. Focusing on my every feature. He reached out and put a strand of my hair behind my ear. At this moment I couldn't breathe. His touch took my breathe away. I kept still. Making sure not to move. We just looked at each other which felt like forever. I eventually cleared my throat and started the car.

When we got there, we got out of the car and walked inside. He grabbed my hand and interlocked his with mine. I looked up at him and he smiled. I looked away quickly hoping he didn't notice how red my face was.

I got the Advil and paid for it. Then we walked out to the car and left Wal-Mart. We got on the road and drove back home. During the drive home Skylar put his hand on my thigh, and he would caress it gently back and fourth with his thumb. I put my hand over his hand, and looked at him and smiled. "Your eyes are so beautiful. I could stare at them for hours. Maybe forever." "T-thank you." "Do I make you nervous Mel?" he called me by my nickname only people i'm close with call me by. "N-no." "Really? I don't?" I cleared my throat. "Nope." "What if I do this?" He said in a low husky voice. He caressed my thigh with his index finger up and down. Back and fourth. I couldn't breathe. It was getting extremely hot all of a sudden. "N-nope." He chuckled. "Trust me. I'll make you nervous." And I looked at him and he winked.

We finally arrived at the beach house. And I didn't even get a chance to open the car door. Skylar was already opening it for me. "Thank you love." "Anytime." He said with a smile.

I got out of the car and walked to the front door and opened it. "Can I come in?" Skylar said. "Yeah sure." I said with a smile. As we made our way in I slid off  my sandals and turned around to see Skylar looking at me. "What?" I said as I giggled. "Nothing." "Okay well I'll go check on Anna. Make yourself at home." I gave him a smile and walked up the stairs.

I knocked on the door. I heard a "Come in," and I opened Anna's bedroom door. "Hey love, feeling better?" "Nope my head is still pounding. I just want to sleep for hours." Anna said under the covers. "Would you like a glass of water? I got what you wanted." "Please?" "Yes ma'am no need to ask. I'll be back in a second."

I walked downstairs on my way to the kitchen to get a glass of water, when all of a sudden two hands were covering my eyes from behind. I grabbed the both of Skylars hands as I giggled and turned around to see his face. I was still holding his hands and he interlocked his with mine, and put them to our sides. "I don't think I could ever get used to how beautiful you are." "You're such a trip." He winked. "I have to get Anna a glass of water."

We let go of each others hands and I walked into the kitchen and got a glass of water for Anna. I walked over to the stairs and turned looking at Skylar. He winked. I walked up the stairs to Anna's room and opened up her bedroom door. I handed her the glass of water. "Here love." "Thank you. Who were you talking to downstairs?" "Who me? oh it's nothing." "Who?" I knew there was no way out of this so I told her. "Skylar is downstairs. I asked him if he could show me the directions to Wal-Mart." "AWEEE." She said very loudly. I covered her mouth with my hand. "Shhh." "Okay, Okay. Well thank you for taking care of me." "Of course love." I hugged her and kissed her forehead. I left her bedroom and went downstairs.

I got downstairs and looked around. Skylar was no where to be seen. He must have left  I thought. I walked towards the front door and put my sandals on and walked right into the kitchen to the patio door and opened it. I walked out onto the patio and looked out towards the beach. It was so beautiful. The wind danced with my hair, and the a breeze caressed my skin. It felt like hours looking at the beach. I heard the patio door open and arms wrapped around my waist. They rested their head on my shoulder and their breathe tickled my neck. I twisted around, and looked into Skylars eyes. I put my hand on his cheek and he held me with one hand on my waist and put his other hand on top of my hand that was on his cheek, and closed his eyes. "I love staring at you. You make me weak in the knees. You're like a sunrise. Calming and beautiful. And a sunset, exquisite." "Were you looking at me this whole time I was out here?" "Maybe." he winked as he looked down at me. I rested my head on his chest. His heartbeat was so calming. I must have been falling asleep because Skylar said my name and I grumbled. "Melody." "Hm?" "I have to go." "I want you to stay." "I wish I could but I can't." "Okay." He tilted my head up. "I'll see you tomorrow?" "please?" "okay love." He kissed my forehead. 

We untangled from each other. "See ya?" "See ya."

I watched him walk away.
