jaeden had insisted since before they arrived that he'd need a chance to examine the beautiful artwork portraying his favourite characters, so he would try to sneak through.
he pulled the sweatshirt over his head and used the hood to cover himself, adding the silly mask to hide his face. with his eyes glued to the ground, only occasionally glancing up to find his way, he headed to artist's alley across the building.
when he reached it, he began at what some would call the end of the alley, but he chose that area since it contained mainly anime art and such, which is what he was looking for.
willow, ethan, halle and marcus began at the opposite end and were about halfway through the whole thing. willow became bored with the many variations of the same few things and asked if she could head to the other end.
"yeah, i guess. as long as you meet us under those signs over there in fifteen minutes," he explained, pointing her to the signs he was talking about. willow nodded and showed herself to the other end, where she was greeted by an overwhelming amount of pastel colours on posters, pins, bookmarks, it was endless really.
she contained a squeal as she spotted a gorgeous print capturing her favourite character from the death note. not caring about the price, she jumped towards it quickly, reaching for it suddenly, but her hand colliding with anothers, a hand in which there was a sleeve pulled far over it.
"sorry," willow giggled, noticing the odd mask they wore.
jaeden kept his view away, "it's okay," he said, finally looking at the girl for a moment, his breath hitching as he did so.
what are the fucking odds?
"your mask is cute," willow smiled, pointing to it, which made jaeden blush for no real reason, as he reached up and slid it off of his face, revealing the flustered and nervous jaeden that hid before hind. willow too, felt the blood rush into her cheek as she caught sight of the boy. "hi again, fanboy," she teased.
he found his fingers fiddling with the plastic mask. "start any new musicals while i was gone?" he said, the corner of his mouth tugged up in a smirk.
"sadly, no. life has been bland. walking over here, we met no more famous people," she giggled, shoving her hands into her back pockets to avoid fidgeting too much and coming off too nervous.
"a shame, truly a shame," jaeden smiled, admiring her as she looked at the ground nervously, then quickly averting his gaze after realizing that would most definitely come off as creepy.
"nice disguise, jaeden. it's cute," she smirked, taking the mask into her own hands after he held it out to her.
"thanks, love the shirt. i'm honored, really," he grinned, making her giggle as he referenced her loser/lover t-shirt.
