Toboni did not wake up.
OhmyGodohGoshohmyeffingGod!!!
I look around the room to see whether someone is there to help me. No one.
"Damn it!" I seeth and I sigh.
It's time for CPR, I guess...
Right... How did Nat do it on me?
Did she start CPR instantly? Did she get a defibrillator/AED? Did she-
I open her airways and I check/hear/feel breathing from the girl. I hear her breathing.
Thank goodness!
"Toboni?" I ask clearly.
She removes her hands from her face but she doesn't look right. She looks...
Traumatised.
Her hands are shaking vigorously, her lip is trembling, her eyes are wide open. "Lawrence... what happened?"
I shake my head. "I- I don't know!" I start to panic. "Has this ever happened to you before?!"
"NO!"
The door slams open and Adam and Ruben emerges.
"Lawrence, was that you?!" Adam grasps hold of my shoulders.
I punch him in the stomach. "No it wasn't."
Ruben stared at Toboni. He was holding a ginger tabby cat (Willow) in his arms and he looks down at Toboni. "Adam. Toboni's silent."
Adam rolls his eyes whilst trying to recover the blow into the stomach. "She's always is..."
I get up.
"I got to go. Nice seeing you all." I walk out and shut the door behind me.
*
I hug my knees as I sit onto the New Elizabeth concrete with the rain heavily pouring around me. My hair soaked by it, so is my clothing.
I stare at the buildings in front of me, feeling a raindrop fall onto my top lip, but I'm ignoring by the fact that it's extremely cold. I clench myself harder to stop myself from shivering.
I rest my head upon the wall of Brown Tavern and I let my face get drenched.
I just can't stop thinking about why my parents left me: I can even see them at my last minutes when I last saw them then they walked off, leaving me wailing for them.
I feel my lip trembling and a tear roll down my cheek.
"Lawrence?" a voice appears beside me.
It's Daniel.
I turn around to see him holding an umbrella. Not like he knows how to use one or anything-
"I do know how to use an umbrella," he reads my thoughts. But then an expression which shows shock appears upon his face. "Oh, sorry."
I turn my head back around and instantly, I feel him sit next to me, umbrella hoisted above us, mainly covering me. (Shut. The. Fuck. Up.)
"Why are you crying?" he asks.
I ignore him and I wipe a tear away from my face.
Daniel raises an eyebrow and held my shoulder. "Please tell me."
I sigh and I get up. "I have a choice to who I tell and I don't want to tell you," I storm off, hugging myself.
"L!" it's Nat!
I turn around and she hugs me. "WHERE WERE YOU!?"
"Just down a forest and the pub."
Nat examines me from head-to-toe. "You don't seem wasted."
"Maybe because I didn't take any alcohol. As usual?"
Nat done an Ahh... and wraps an arm around my neck, hand dangling over my shoulder. "Come on, I'll let you stay at mine tonight. I got clothes which you can change into."
I smile and nod. Just a simple nod.
"Okay."
And we walk towards 23 Eastwood Drive.
