For a whole year now we've been planning this epic trip to Korea. I remember us all being cooped up around the computer waiting for the ticket company to open the sales for the BTS concert for next Summer. A whole year we would have to wait but you know what it is gonna be totally worth it.
Sat staring at the screen is the most nervous I have ever been, all me and my friends have wanted is to go and see BTS live and so we saved up every bit of money we could earn to spend on the trip of a lifetime.
Hey I guess the plus side is that if we didn't get the tickets we could've gone on the most amazing shopping trip ever seeing as we'd saved up nearly £1200 each.
Oh oh oh I am so sorry I must introduce me and my two best friends how rude of me. My name is Rebecca Williams, I'm 14 years old soon to be 15 so basically by the time I'm jetting off to Korea I'm going to be finishing Year 10 along with my fellow ARMY's Lily Smith and Allison Taylor. I don't know what I would do without them both and without Allison I never would've discovered Bangtan in the first place.
Before I fell in love with BTS the whole idea of listening to music from Korea would've been strange but slowly I began to die for it.
Anyway I'll get back to recounting the moment that would make or break my day, it sounds so dramatic but it felt like life or death. As soon as the page refreshed and the option to buy tickets was offered I raced through the buying process, I don't think I have clicked so hard on my mouse to try and navigate my way through the system. Nervous energy was racing through me and I felt so triumphant. I was just about to pay and just managed to click the pay button to complete my ticket order when the screen suddenly crashed and we were no longer able to get onto the site. We were so excited we thought that we'd actually managed to do it and then one moment ruined everything. I felt so down inside because I kept thinking that there was no way that we actually managed to get our order sorted before it all fell apart. I can't even describe to you how rubbish it felt. When you were little and you killed your pet goldfish because you didn't feed it for a week and you were crying your eyes out because your dad had to flush it down the toilet? Yeah well times that emotion and sadness by 10,000 and boom you've got how I felt.
I'd lost a lot of hope but I decided that just to make sure I should check my emails to be positive that no confirmation email had been sent through. Lily and Allison were so confused as to why I was even bothering but I wasn't just gonna leave it I had to be 100% certain.
I was now typing so slowly that I think my 90 year old great grandma could beat me at logging in. But you know what, I couldn't care about that because as soon as it loaded there it was! The ticket confirmation email had been sent to my email address 6 minutes ago and it shouldn't be waiting any longer. Both of my friends were turned away talking to each other as they'd given up entirely. I reached over and put my hand on Lily's shoulder laughing; I'm not sure with joy or a mixture of sadness and happiness. "What are you laughing at we haven't got the tickets, that's nothing to be happy about" she looked just as glum as I did (not for long). "You look so miserable I've got something to cheer you up" She still looked miserable and so I just spun my computer round and right in front of them was an email with 'Hope you have a great time at the BTS concert details below, front row right next to the stage have fun' in big bold letters. There was just silence, I think they were taking it in. And then they both just started screaming. Oh my lord I'd been deafened and thank god we were home alone as it was 5 in the morning and I swear down we nearly woke the whole street. They were jumping around the kitchen like 4 year olds that took a trip to the sweat shop.
After regaining my hearing I couldn't hold back any longer, I sprung out of my seat and began to join in with the bouncing huddle. "WE ARE GOING TO KOREA!!" We all shouted in unison. Wow we are actually going to Korea, to see BTS, front row, nothing could make me happier.....
