I've always lived makeup I can't even deny that, I've loved it from the age of 4 when I would get Barbie makeup kits for Christmas and think that I was stunning with bright blue eyeshadow and lipstick in big clumps everywhere. Another great thing about being 15 is that now all that Barbie makeup is in the bin and it's time to buy the proper stuff aka MAC, Kiko Milano, Estée Lauder and all those amazing brands. Plus what's even better is that my dads just put £200 onto my bank account so I'm gonna go makeup bonkers.
We were the first group of people there at the MAC section and so a lot of the women who worked there were offering to help but I knew what I wanted and needed. "Hiya girls can I help you today?" She beamed at us clearly thinking we didn't know what we were doing. "Yes I'm fine thank you we are going away in a few days and so we just needed to buy some new makeup." Confidence is key. "Is there anything specific?" I started to name every item on my list whilst Lily and Alison were being helped by another two women who had moved over to help. She came back with an armful if products; foundation, concealer, setting spray, illuminator, liquid eyeliner and an eyebrow kit. "Are you positive that this is your colour?" It did look a bit dark when you looked at it compared to my skin but I'd already done a colour test the last time I came. "Yeah I'm sure because I came and did a colour test and this one was perfect but thank you for your help." She went and put all of the products I wanted behind the counter as I went to look at the different lipstick shades. Lily cake running over to me. "OMG Becca look the woman did my makeup and I've got all of the stuff I need." And next thing you know Alison came skipping over and clearly she's had her makeup done to. "Arghh I love this shop I just love makeup and I love what she's done to my face. This foundation feels amazing on my face. Are you ready to pay?" Nope if she wanted a straight answer. "One minute I'm just picking 2 of 3 lipstick shades do buy." In the end I ended up buying a pinky red shade, a dark red/maroon and a subtle pink that I also figured could be used as a blusher.
I know that I bought so much stuff but I nearly had a heart attack when I saw the price..... £145. Actually so glad that my dad gave me £200 because otherwise I would've only had £55 left haha and what can a girl buy with that realistically.
A lot of the time we were in there we wandered and looked around a lot of shops but didn't end up buying anything. I bought a new pair of timberlands which I was desperate for because I'd managed to wreck mine and bought a few items of clothing from New Look and other various shops. Lily and Alison found soooo many things especially in New Look and Miss Selfridges. Now time to eattttt!
