Lunch

The next day I was looking forward to it. The zombie kids were fun and different from the rest, especially the foreign girl. Which whom name I can not remember. And I was to embarrassed to ask for it , plus it's insulting to not remember another's name.

"You better not go back behind the school. I'm telling you those kids are a bad influence on you. Trust me I would know."

Internally roiling my eyes at her comment. I'm starting to feel mad at Jess, but I know if I yell at Jess. They'll just end up playing the victim.

It's lunch time. Today they are severing mac and chesse, it's always weird. Sometimes it's too gooey, or too dry, but some how it can never be just right.

As usual entitled popular kids shove me so their friends can wait in line with them. I was tell myself not to let them push me around, but my head and body freezes before words come out.

The worst part of lunch in my opinion is that Im reminded that I have no friends to sit next to.

Holding my lunch and nervously standing searching an empty spot. If I'm lucky I get a seat near people who won't kick me out and or will ignore my presences.

Gentle pokes attack my shoulder, I nearly drop my lunch and yelp.

"Hey. Do you want to sit with me and some others. There is an open table near the doors." Jasmyn shuttered to get the words 'yes' out of her mouth. The girl sensing her discomfort gently lead her to the table. Once at the table the british girl took out her lunch box, gracefully taking out her silverware and placing them on top of a blue cloth napkin. Spade was teased by others because she was 'so extra' as the other kids said. It was strange to Jasmyn, bit at the same time it was cute to see her be attentive in little things like eating. She took out a water bottle pouring herself a small cup of orange juice, nothing out of the ordinary right untill she held it with her pinky sticking out. Like in those british films, thought Jasmyn. Unknowingly smiling at the even cuter act. Spade caught her looking, and chuckled back.

Snapping Jasmyn out of her trance, thinking that the chuckle was a sneeze she politely said, "Bless you." Spade was also aware of her unusual laugh which only made her laugh even harder. "Im sorry, that wasn't a sneeze, even it sounded really weird. Hehe!" Jasmyn found the laugh unique. "Uhg. Her laugh is too annoying, god it sounds like a dieing dolphin." Jasmyn was reaching her limits with Jess. She also knew what it felt like to have her laugh criticized, most saying it sounds like a cackling hen. "Don't worry people also say I have a weird laugh." Both exchanged pleasant smiles, staring at each other for a while longer. RIIIIIIIIING! The lunch bell jerked them back to reality. Cleaning after themselves both calmly walking out to recess. Going back behind the school to continue the zombie tag game.
