Home for the Different

The elevator stops and I walk into a short hallway with two doors. Jacob steps out and looks around.

"What's this place?" I step out as he asks.

"This is my home." I point to the door to the left and then turn to the door to the right, "That is the home of Superman and Ironman." I walk to my normal brown door and get out my green key.

"This just looks like an apartment building." Jacob wanders looking back at the now empty elevator shaft.

"I wouldn't stand there if I were you." I tell him as the doors lock clicks open and the elevator flies past, just missing his head. I hurry him into my small apartment, not wanting to see my neighbours.

"Sit." I tell him pointing to the green, beat up couch. He sits and I stand infront of him, hands on hips.

"Do you have any experience with weapons?" I ask causing him to look slightly offended since I found him as a security guard for a jail.

"I can shoot with above avarage accuracy with any guns or bows. I also know how to use a sword and a knife." I nod approvingly.

"If you were a Villian what would your name be?" I quiz him and sit on the coffee table, moving two fashion magazines out of the way. He sits there with a puzzled expression for a moment before answering.

"Black Arrow?" He asks hopefully. I think about it for a minute before talking.

"What about Black Mist?" I smile at the idea. I grab his hand and drag him to my bedroom door.

"Wait here." I tell him before I walk in and get changed into my red and black tight leather suit. I walk out, tying my flame red hair up in a pony tail. I give him a moment to check me out before speaking, "Take a picture, it'll last longer." I laugh. I grab his arm and pull him out the door. I lock the door, push the elevator button and let go of his arm but keep a close eye on him. He looks fine around me now, sneaking a look at me every now and then. The lock of my neighbours door startles me as it unlocks from the inside. I turn invisible just as Batman walks out without his mask and with the Joker as they laugh together. They stop, dead in thier tracks as super man comes out, unaware and still laughing. Superman stops laughing and looks at Jacob. Batman's face turns red with anger and stomps over to my door.

"PHOENIX!" He yells at the door rapidly banging on it. I reappear making Superman and the Joker jump.

"So there's a norm in the hallway and you immediately blame me?!" I shout at Batman.

"I'm sor-" I cut him off before he can finish.

"Well, it was me but that does mean you can automatically blame me." I ramble on innocently.

"WHY IS HE HERE!!" He stops me.

"Wow. Take a chill pill cousin. He's my side kick, Black Mist." I say slightly offended that he yelled at me.

"Wait, COUSIN?!" Jacob stares with his jaw on the floor.
