Chapter 4

Hua Mulan P.O.V
We have been together for a month. He trained me whole-heartedly, but I have never seen his face before.

I tried to take off his mask when he fell asleep, but I never succeed. I can't even see him, as every night he made me staying in the cave while he was off to somewhere.

It was when my plan actually works, a freezing night. It was not even winter, yet, the strong breeze seemed to be able to throw me off at anytime.

My body was shivering, as I carefreely let out a big sneeze, ignored the dignity as a woman.

"That's ungraceful of you."

I raised my eye ball, furrowed at the invisible impolite assassin, creating a dent between my eyebrow and forehead.

"If you are hiding somewhere again, come out please, don't make me an idiot who seem to soliloquy," I exhaled to warm my body up, already not surprised with his sudden appearance.

He slowly revealed every part of his body. I initially was not shocked, until his whole body came into full view.

Oh my God! He was so close to me just now? He is just beside me, how could I not feel anything?

"You have let your guard down, even though I've told you to be cautious all the time," he smirked under his mask, taunted at my failure.

I pouted at his criticism. "That's why I am your student," I hissed sarcastically.

"May I know when did I become your teacher?" He took a quick glance at me, in a menacing way.

"You somehow misunderstood my meaning. I just feel bore being the only predator. Once I am done with you, I can finish you off at anytime," Lan Lingwang threatened, unsatisfied with this little bold girl who'd got the gut to insult him.

I gritted my teeth, stood up from the cold ground covered with snow, stared at him from a higher eye level.

I am not backing out this time!

"I will not be intimidated by your words, once you are bore with me, that's the time when I could easily settled you before you did," I protested as I perk up my head, making myself looked tall and powerful.

"Pff! ..."

Wait, what? Did-d he just laugh? God dammit, I can't see his smile with his mask blocking.

I could feel my face heating out. Crimson red slowly made its way creeping onto my cheeks that was already slightly pink due to the cold weather.

"What are you laughing at?! You dare to look down on me?"

"Yeah."

And he is not denying?!

My head was seething with smoke, I was on the verge of losing patience and I had a murderous intend overflowing my blood.

That emerald eyes jerk looked like he was having fun, he wiped off the tears from his eyes, and apparently it was the symptoms of laughing too hard.

"Guess I will never be bore with a prey that never get scared," he murmured to himself with amused. "How much more entertainment are you gonna provide me?"

I missed his whispered tone statement. I was carried by emotion, and busy thinking about my revenge exasperated.

An evil idea crossed my mind as my eyes fell on his ebony mask with green lining.

"Why not we have a little bet?" I pointed at him with a mischievous smirk, as if to challenge his limit.

"Sound good, what do you want to bet?" He seemed to be interested, much to my surprise.

Great, he fall for it! I am not taking back my words then!

"You are going to show me you face without mask if I beat you! And apologize for underestimating me!"

-Do not reveal your identity or showing your face to anyone.

"....."

The spiky long haired guy seemed to be in deep thoughts with his arm folded. It took him some time to hesitate, but soon, it was replaced with a confident look, as if thinking there's no way I will get bitten by this girl.

Urgh, that was irritating and frustrating, can this guy be any more arrogant?

"If only you beat me." He emphasized this point, what an asshole. "Deal. If I win, you would have to obey me whenever I call," he added his last statement with satisfaction.

"As if I will lose to you!"
