Chapter 7

Lan Lingwang P.O.V
We fell asleep together, in the cave. With her head resting on my shoulder, for 7 hours, my shoulder started to feel numb.

Jeez, this girl really has no self-awareness as a woman.

I blankly stared at my mask, which has been placed beside me, then turned back to the pinkish haired girl who was still sounding asleep. I smiled warmly as I embraced her in my arm.

Regret? Nah, if is for this girl, I don't mind breaking my rules. If it means to expose her in danger, I will protect her with all my will no matter what.

"H-hmn..." Mulan seemed to be half-asleep as she slowly opened her eyes, just like a puppy, adorable.

"Sorry, have I woken you up?"

"What are you doi---" she wiped her eyes sleepily, then took a pause after realizing how close we were. "Waaaaaaa!" she raised a deafening scream, flustering with her scarlet red face.

I chuckled at her cute reaction, then let go of her, or she might faint from embarrassment.

"So, we should be starting the training again, get ready," I picked up my mask and wore it.

She was sulking over the fact that I coldly wore my mask again, and the worse part, training.

Suddenly, footsteps approaching us was audible. I covered her mouth and activated invisibility, went out to take a small look as I gestured her to stay down.

I saw a group of armies roaming around, apparently, they were looking for something, or someone.

A commoner-looked soldier signalled respectively and shouted with a clear tone. "Cap! Your daughter is nowhere to be seen!"

The 'Cap' he referred to was an old-man with rosely-pink hair, he gritted his teeth, grumbled in annoyance. "If is not for her mother's sake, I won't be here wasting my time."

Sweat dripping from my forehead, it fell onto the weeds on ground to quench their thirst.

He can't be-----can he?

I can't believe it, if he really was her father.....no, it is undeniable that they have the same rare colour hair...

What's more, based on how that soldier addressed him, he must be the 'Greatest Worrior'...if I could kill him here....no, he is her father....Dammit.

Out of the blue, a strong black wind came from nowhere, engulfed everything, included the armies and I. Before I aware of it, everything went black. I don't remember what happen after that.

"Father!!"

I was waken up by a feminine crying voice. This voice was too familiar, most probably the girl I had ever allowed myself get close to.

After struggling for a while, I squinted to adjust my sign. The smoke was clear, my surrounding had come into a clear vision.

A girl who I was in love with, sat there, hugging a rose-pink haired man, who had his shirt stained with red. Her ruby eyes trickling with tears, glowered at me with a horrifying look.

What has happened?

I scowled at this unpleasant scene, unaware of my surrounding. My eyes slowly travelled to my arms, my cloth was stained with blood and my blade too.

"W-why are you doing this?" Mulan asked with a muffled tone, due to sobbing too much.

"W-what?" I was bewildered, I took a step to get closer to her, but soon stopped after hearing her shouting.

"B-back up! Don't come near me!"

My heart was shattered into billion pieces, probably no one can fix it...other than her. It hurted so much, but it was not physical pain. I wondered is that why master told me not to trust?

"You are no more than monster! I will become stronger, strong enough to beat you. Before that, I will not be fallen down!" her ruby orbs flashed with grudge, resentment, and ....betrayal.

I skimmed through my surrounding, noticed that every armies lying on ground had expose flesh on them. These strange shaped cuts were from none other than my blade. There were no doubt, the culprit was me.

Before I meet you, I was always alone. Time's up I supposed. Thanks for appearing in my life. Regret? Never exist.

"Flee before you provoke me, I am not mercy enough tolerate your insults," I warned, to keep her away from me, who was unaware of when I will be rampaging again.

"Don't worry, I will. If you are seeking for revenge in East China, I will be 'greeting' you on the Great Wall."
