Chapter 8

Hua Mulan P.O.V
Time flew fast.

"I will be greeting you on the Great Wall!"

"..."

He didn't respond, he just simply disappeared in the mid air, in front of me.

These happened 3 years ago. However, the scenery was still freshly playing in my mind. As if it happened yesterday.

I tried to forget it, but his face was still crystal clear in my mind. It was useless of me to still miss him after what he'd done.

He killed my father.

I'd become the 'Greatest Worrior'. After my father's death, I inherited his job. I proved what a good fighter I was. Everyone in the town was shocked, they still diminished woman, but not in front of me.

I stood on the Great Wall everyday, searching for someone's shadow. Not just somebody, but his shadow. I signed.

"Cap? The dinner is ready," one of my subordinates, Baili Shouyue snapped, while tilting his head.

"Oh, it's already this hour? I will be coming soon," I hurried him away, took a last glance at the floor below the Great Wall,  and followed after him.

Once I entered the canteen, the rest of my gang, Kai and Sulie greeted me politely. I gave them a soft smile, and settled on the chair, giving my legs a chance to rest.  

Then, they were gobbling their food up, while praising Shouyue. "Shouyue, your food is always the best!"

The pale white mixed with a bit of red haired guy started to whip his tail, with a slight pink on his cheek. "Stop it, you guys are flattering me."

Tail? You ask? Didn't I mentioned it before? That Shouyue is a hybrid of human and demon, which made him looked like a human, but with an addition of woft tail and ears.

"Sadly, no matter how good I cooked, my little brother just wouldn't seem to find his way back, " Shouyue signed. "Even though I tried to lurked him back with the tasty amora."

"Don't worry, you will find him one day," Sulie reassured him by patting his shoulders.

"Thanks...." he forced a smile.

"One question, did your brother has a pair of wolf ears and tail like you? There was one hybrid kid I saw outside the Great Wall yesterday," Kai carefreely swallowed the meat and took a sip of tea.

"He was with a white long-haired man," the light blue-white haired soldier stated with his mouth filling with food.

White long-haired man?!

"Kai! Where did you see them?" I instantly stood up, hands on the table after giving a loud slammed.

The rest stared at me nervously, never expected me to have this big reaction.

Sulie sweat dropped. "Isn't Shouyue the one supposed to have this reaction? After 10 years of losing his little brother."

"Answer me, Kai! How do they look like?" Igonoring Sulie's question, I demanded desperately.

"Hmn..." Kai was really shocked, he stammered tensely. "T-the guy with long hair wore a mask with green lining, and the younger one has a red hair----"

He wore a mask with green lining.

I didn't pay attention after that. There's no doubt, he is Lan Lingwang. The guy I have been searching for years. The guy I have been desperately to see.

"Red hair and red wolf ears! That's it! He is my brother!" Shouyue exclaimed with excitement. "Thanks for telling me this, Kai!"

Apparently, the person I have been searching for, now, is together with my subordinate's lost brother. What a coincidence....

"No big deal, as long as you cook me more delicious meal, everything worth it," Kai joked.

The next night, I rumbled down the Great Wall with high hope, expecting to see him tonight.

In the pitch black world, I saw nothing, but I had no fear. The only thing I should be worried of was the murderous aura I sensed.

'Clang----'

My sword met something hitting against it. This familiar sensation.... It's him!

"Were you looking for me?"

"I knew it was you! Reveal yourself, you coward!"

"We shouldn't be meeting each other now...."

I gritted my teeth, shouted out what I was not supposed to. "Even if we are in love with each other?"
