Lan Lingwang P.O.V
I never expected to see her here again.

"Even if we are in love with each other?"

Much less, that sentence of hers.

"..." I was rather shocked as she said that. I quietly eyed her, my tongue was twisted, as I fumbled with words.

"That's the past," I managed to keep my cool.

I calmly added, "Since you had become the Guardian of the Great Wall, we can no longer--" I gulped as she cut me off.

"Hahaha, joke,"she laughed sarcastically.

"Do you think I really am going to say that? After what you had done?" the cheerful girl who was onced sparkling and dazzling, had now turned into a gloom who only seeked for revenge. She grimaced.

Well, I deserve that. What has she been through?

Her look was agony, she must have been suffering these years. It pained my heart.

Her tears can always tear my heart into pieces. Her single glimpse can fasten my heartbeat. I might even fainted from her smile.

However, I couldn't see any of these features in her now. From her emotionless ruby orbs, I knew. She never would shed tears in front of anyone, much less, me, the murderer who killed her father.

"So, are you here to kill me?" I grimaced.

"Yes, take that!" she charged toward me with an unfamiliar art, probably the result from her demon style training.

I didn't dodge or attack her, instead I stand still and took her attacks. Her scars shattered my heart, I couldn't bear to hurt her any further.

Her sword pierced through my arm, I gritted my teeth to endure the pain. It's been a while since I last got hurt.

She was astonished, then glared at me in annoyance. "Are you still looking down on me? If so, I won't hold back."

Another stab followed, I coughed out blood, and my cloth was drenched in red. I forced a smile, "T-this i-is the debt I owed you, n-now we are even..."

She was in agony, I knew she didn't feel good either, but I want her to understand that revenge was not a path she should be taking. Her life should be sparkling with hope, so I did it not to repent my sin, but for her.

"Don't ever dream that I will forgive you, that doesn't make us even!"

"Trust me, you can't move on if you insisted on revenging me," I closed my eyes and extended my arms. "Now, get things done quick, after my death, stay happy."

"Y-you..." the pinkish haired worrior stammered with a red face, probably due to anger. "Don't regret for making that decision," she stared at me sternly, swinged her sword in the air.

Crap, she is really serious about killing me, isn't she?

I closed my eyes, ready for the impact, but it never come, instead, I felt warmth wrapping against my skin.

"This would be the last," her words were muffled between sobbing, as she murmured in my ears.

I returned the hug, whispered softly. "Yeah."

Even though I already knew the truth 3 years ago. My rampages was due to the the devil in the 'living forest'. It could sense the strongest person and processed on him.

I was the victim being processed on. The strange thing was, apparently I could only manage to resist the procession to not kill her.

"Can I see your face for the last time?" she gently pulled back, hands on my mask.

I nodded, as my hands remained on her hips. "It makes me happy to know that you still love me, despite what had happened."

Her face heated up, as she sniffled between words. "Stop being so conceited, I had forgotten that feeling already."

Puff, that dishonest part of her still hasn't change though.

"That's not cute," I teased.

She took off my mask, pressed her lips against mine, which was so much to my surprise.

"This is the end," Mulan grabbed her sword weakly, about to tear my body into half.

"Stop right there!! What do you plan to do to my master?"
