Zayds pov

I heard the scream of the woman i loved. I was close but not close enough. Why wasnt i more aware. I could have preventd this.

Edging my body close to the door, i burst it open seeing Freya with this wolf on top of her. Using my speed and strength i threw him off her. Snarling my fangs at the wolves.

I felt a shock go through my body. My limbs went numb and i fell unconscious. The last thing i saw was the crying face of Freya.

*********

I could hear words. Unable to understand them. My eyes opened and i was on a table chained down. To my left was Freya, tears running down her face, she was crying.

Next to the table i saw the alpha of the Harvesters. I knew him. I recalled his scent. Adris former King of Fae. Until his queen and mother of Freya overthrew him many years ago.

As of now Freya is the rightful queen of the Fae. But i dont think shr knows this. Her royalty blood makes her more dangerous. Of course making her a wolf tripled her strength. She was being held down by an odd metal. It wasnt silver. She wasnt effected by silver. But whatever this metal was ate at her skin.

Adris looked in my area. He said a few words to the woman who turned Freya.

"Welcome back vampire." He said the word as though it was acid on his tongue. I fought against my restraints but to no avail.

"Leave her alone!" My voice was hoarse. My throat burned. I instantly realized i needed to feed.. Adris knew this too.

"You have a choice my daughter. Join us or your vampire will die."

A soft gasp escaped her lips."Never..."

I soon felt a blade to my neck. The blood seeping through a cut appearing on my skin. Having not fed in awhile my ability to heal was weakened. They knew this. How did they know?!

"I will ask once more. You have lost everyone close to you. Are you willing to lose the last thing to you?"

I yelled against the taste of blood "Dont do it Freya!"

She looked at me, her eyes puffy from crying.

"I will never join you." A voice from within her growled. A side of her ive never seen.
