~A few days later~
6 AM and my phone was already going off. I rolled over pushing my hair out of my face before being blinded by the light. I groaned trying to decipher the text with my sleepy eyes.
"Up and at it Missy, I need you in early to run over some tracks that we thought of."
At least I was using my voice. My guitar had sadly sat untouched next to my suitcase that had finally arrived since the first meeting with Mr. Big Wig. I got up and showered not bothering to put any effort into how my hair was. It looked fine I thought as I wriggled into a pair of pleather pants. I felt like I was wearing armor with the way the pants were made. I'd taken myself shopping after finding it was a lot colder here than I had expected. I grabbed a gray t-shirt and tucked it into my waistband before grabbing my keys and jacket from near the door.
My phone vibrated as I walked out the front door with -
"I've got someone to pick you up instead of a taxi. He's waiting for ya."
I rolled my eyes before scanning the front of the hotel and sure enough there was a tall guy with dark sunglasses on, waving at me.
"The sunnies are a bit cliche aren't they?" I asked a he opened the back door for me and laughed.
"Aye miss they might be but I like 'em. Besides means people'll be scared of me." He chuckled. He was a friendly looking guy, possibly early forties with graying strawberry blonde hair.
We talked on the way, me mainly talking about home, and about how much colder it was here. When we finally arrived I waved goodbye to my new friend before hurrying up the stairs.
I had looked down just at the right moment as I ran straight into someone. Someone muscly, who smelt good and wore a very good looking jacket. I looked up as his arms went out to steady me.
"Oh." I said realising he was the blonde boy from the other day. What was this? "I ah... I'm.. I'm so sorry." I said laughing awkwardly. He held up his hands and smiled dazzlingly at me.
"Hey it's no problem, sorry about the other day to. Didn't realize there was anyone after us." He held out his hand, definitely a musician's hand. "I'm Ross."
"Uh.. Dian. Sorry wow I forgot my own name for a second there." He laughed and even his laugh sounded musical. I chuckled back shaking his hand before a girl called out from behind him.
The blonde girl came over and leant on his shoulder, the two obviously related.
"This is my sister Rydel. Rydel this is.. Dian?" He asked getting a little caught on my name. I laughed it off nodding and reassuring him that everyone got it wrong.
"It's nice to meet you, Phil just said you were suppose to be coming in this morning, he's got both of us in the studio today." She smiled before patting Ross on the shoulder and heading towards the elevators. As we made our way through the rabbit warren that was the studio, Ross an I continued to talk, him asking about my accent and where I had come from, and me asking about what he did. When he said he'd worked for Disney I knew where I'd seen him from. I smiled as he opened the door for me.
Voices called out a welcome as I came in, after quickly getting introduced to everyone I sat down, slightly awkwardly, between Riker and Rocky. Phil went over the 'game plan' as he called it before getting each of the band members to do some trial runs. When it finally came to be my turn I wiped my slightly sweating hands on my pants. I'd sung in front of plenty of people before, but never a band that had made the big time. My eyes scanned out the darkened window, an even though I could hardly see, Ross's smile an bright eyes were obvious even from where I stood. I smiled before taking a deep breath, never once looking away from Ross.
