All was going well with Ross, and we'd fallen into a little bit of a habit. Depending on who was working during the day the other would meet them at the studio afterwards and we'd walk around the city for a while. Today I had a little surprise planned for him. I pulled out a tight black dress and showed it to Lexie, who I'd very quickly become great friends with. "What do you think?" I asked holding the dress up to me. "Oh I love it. Ross will too." She smiled pulling out her phone as it buzzed. "Rocky is here to meet me, I'll see you later." She said giving me a quick hug before leaving me to ponder the dress. I hadn't bought it specifically for this date. Although I had bought it when I was flying over here, thinking it would be great to try and bring in guys. Turns out I didn't need to. I smiled to myself placing the dress on my bed before hurrying off when I heard my phone ring.
"Hello?" I asked not recognizing the number.
"Hey Dian it's Riker." He said as I recognized his voice instantly. "Ross just wanted me to call you and let you know he's running a little late, and since his phones died he couldn't tell you himself. He wants you to meet him at ours, if that's okay?"
"Sure is. I'll be there around 6:30 if that's okay with him." I heard Riker repeat it to Ross who mumbled and agreement. We said our goodbyes before I flopped down in my bed. I still had a little while to go till I needed to be over at the Lynch's.
Eventually I got ready, pulling on my dress and doing my hair. I could still make my surprise work, even if it meant a detour to the Lynchs.
I drove over there, stepping out just as Ross opened the door. He was slightly dressed up, something I wasn't entirely used to. He took my breath away for a moment."I don't remember telling you to dress up." He said as he gave me a quick kiss on the cheek.
"I don't remember telling you either." I said laughing. "Hop in, I have a surprise for you." I said as his face went blank for a moment.
"I have a surprise for you though." He said slightly confused. I laughed a little nodding.
"Alright, what did you have in mind?"
"We'd have a stroll through the city like always and then just as it started getting dark I'd lead you to Mi-"
"Minnie's for a candle lit dinner." I said finishing off his sentence. We laughed having both planned the same date for each other.
