If Flowers Could Talk

If flowers could talk
What would they say?
Would they cry in the sun,
Or ask it to stay?
Would they scream when they're loved,
Or smile just the same?
If flowers could talk
I imagine they would say,
Something about what love is,
And how none is the same.
How love is like the sun,
One thrives under its gaze.
If flowers could talk,
They'd tell you of its beauty,
How it's something that's worthy,
Of every single duty.
Or maybe, just maybe,
They'd tell you a story.
If flowers could talk,
I know what they'd tell.
The story of a farm boy,
And the girl by the wishing well.
How crazy it would seem,
But magical just as well.
If flowers could talk,
I'm sure they would whisper,
About the bright new light,
That suddenly grew in her.
Or about the way he spoke,
And became her knight in armor.
If flowers could talk,
They would sing a song,
Of the humble pair,
How they made each other strong,
How they lift each other up,
And maybe, just maybe,
They'll tell you that they're story,
Has only just begun.
