Chapter 4: Home away from Home

Shelby's POV

Weak. Insecure. Nobody. Waste of a life.

4 new cuts were on my arm. I stared down at then.

Crap. What have I done. Now it seemed like my mind and body were two separate things. I tried stopping myself but my body seemed to do its own thing.

"Sweetheart?" I heard my mom say. Good thing I closed the door when I came to the bathroom.

"Yeah?" I asked quickly shoving my jacket on so my mom couldn't see the cuts on my arm when I opened the door.

"We're going to miss you," my mom said as I opened the door. My dad walked in with my mom and was now sitting on my bed.

"But at the same time, we're happy you're finally moving out," He said.

"I love you guys," I said as I pulled them in a hug.

"Love you, too" They said in unison. They left so I could finish packing.

I walked to my bathroom and put my makeup stuff in a bag and my blade in a tiny bag that I packed into my makeup bag.

My clothes were already packed. I had my bedding shipped to Washington a few days ago so I wouldn't have to use Ross's.

I got Shadow shipped the same time, too. Max said her and Galileo were getting along very well.

I packed my makeup bag and was ready, apart from my purse, phone, laptop and chargers. I quickly did that and went downstairs.

"Ready?" My dad asked. He was taking me to the airport.

"Ready," I responded.
 
I gave my mom a hug and left.

~* Time skip to plane*~

I got comfy in my seat and fell alseep. Fast.

~*Time skip to when the plane lands*~

I woke up just in time for the landing. I gathered my things and got off the plane.

Now all I had to do was look for Max. I found him. He was by the benches. I walked up to him and hugged him.

"Hey, Max" I said as I hugged him.

"Hey, Shelby," He said as he accepted my hug. "Let me take that," He grabbed two of my suitcases and we were headed to the truck.

~*Time skip to the truck ride*~

It took us a long time to fit all of my stuff into the truck but we got it all sorted out. I hopped into the passenger seat, Max in the drivers and we headed to the apartment.

We talked pretty much the whole way there but then I fell alseep.

Max's POV

I looked over to see Shelby sleep peacfully. I just left her sleeping because she was so darn cute.

~*Time skip to when they arived*~

I saw that Shelby was still asleep so I took her out of the truck and I carried her bridal style up to the apartment.

When I got up there, I put her down in her bed and covered her up. Before I left, I gave her a quick kiss on her forehead.

No, Max. Stop. You have to stop liking Shelby. She lives with you. Don't make it any more awkward than it already is.

I finished bringing all of her stuff up to the apartment and went to bed.
