Shelby's POV:

Knock Knock Knock

I went to get the door. Adam and John ran in.

"What's wrong, Shelby?" Adam asked.

"Max and Ross," I said as I ran upstairs, Adam and John trailing behind me.

"John, go get Ross. He's unconscious so you'll have to carry him," I pointed to Ross's room. "Adam, come get Max. I'll drive to the hospital,"

I sat in the waiting room chewing my nails. What if Ross doesn't wake up?

I then realized something.

I l-

"Shelby Sulick?" The doctor asked. I walked over to him.

"Ross has woken up but we still need to do some x-rays and tests and Max is good to go home now," he said.

"C-Can I go see Max?" I stuttered out of excitement.

"Yes you may," the doctor responded and walked away.

I walked to Max's room.

"Hey," I said as I sat down on a chair in his room.

"Hey," I smiled weakly. "You feeling better?"

"Yeah," He said. We sat in awkward silence for a few seconds.

"The doctor said you're good to come home," I said

"K. I'll get dressed and then we can head home," He said. I got up and walked out.

"I'll go get you some water," I said as I walked to the kitchen.

"When is Ross coming home?" He asked me.

"He should be home by next week. The doctor said his arm is broken," I said, my voice cracking at the end.

This is all my fault. If I hadn't broken up with Tyler, Ross wouldn't have a broken arm.

I started to cry.

Max's POV

I heard crying from the kitchen. I went to check if Shelby was okay.

"Shelby?" I asked. She had her back turned me.

"Umm..yeah?" She asked, wiping away her tears.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" She asked in a cheery voice, acting.

"Nevermind," I said and walked back to the living room.

"I'm going up to my room. I'm tired. Goodnight," Shelby said and walked up the stairs.

After a few minutes, I went upstairs. Her door was slightly open, so she wasn't changing. She always locked her door.

I pushed the door open, making sure she wasn't in her room first. She must have been in her bathroom.

I quietly walked over to her door. That was open too.

I peaked in and saw her crying. Then I saw her grab something from her makeup bag.

It was small and shiny.

It was a blade.
